#{invalid} and #{required} are variables available inside s:decorate, and are booleans. required evaluates to true if you have set the decorated component required, and invalid evaluates to true if a validation error occurs. [JBoss Seam] - Migrate my current application to Seam?

Hi I have been reading a lot on Seam this last week and I'm liking it so far. I have also evaluated "Appfuse" with a JSF archetype, Appfuse also uses Spring and Hibernate. Now, my dilemma is which way to go. My current environment is a JDK 1.2 / Websphere 6 However, I anticipate that we will move on to EE 5 soon. I do know that I prefer JSF over Struts, so Seam is a good choice. But my biggest problem is not being sure if my middle tier should be EJB3 sessions beans or Spring beans or Seam POJO's working with a DAO layer. Anyone care to share the typical architecture to be used in a Seam project. Hello Please help me to understand the following code in Registration example : register.xhtml uses RegisterAction component annotated as "register", e.g. : <s:decorate id="verifyDecorate" template="edit.xhtml"> | <ui:define name="label">Verify Password:</ui:define> | <h:inputSecret id="verify" value="#{register.verify}" required="true"/> | </s:decorate> | RegisterAction.java also has method invalid() : | public void invalid() | { | facesMessages.add("Please try again"); | } | And, edit.xhtml contains code : <s:label styleClass="label #{invalid?'errors':''}"> | <ui:insert name="label"/> | <s:span styleClass="required" rendered="#{required}">*</s:span> | </s:label> | I don't understand which components "#{invalid}" and "#{required}" refers to in edit.html. Or these are some global variables outside of components, how do I know more about them then ? Thank you. The two options I gave you allow you to have separate files. In the first one, you have a test xml conf file with a different name, like test-aop.xml. In the second one, you have the test xml file packaged in a jar or a directory. Both solutions avoid crashes with your existent jboss-aop.xml file. I forgot to mention that, in the first possibility, the name of your xml file must end with aop.xml. So, test-aop.xml would be valid for example, but test.xml not.
