Great! That means I don't have to worry about injecting an object that has a huge tree of objects hanging off it. At least no worry about passivation. Still trying to figure how to reduce the amount of "stuff" that JSF thinks is state worth shipping to the browser and back, but that's another story. [JBoss Seam] - JSF Component not rendered, but no errors reported

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have experience using the Crystal JSF component (found here: http://diamond.businessobjects.com/node/850 ) inside the JBoss SEAM framework? I can get the report to work in a regular JSF project, but if I try the same thing in a SEAM project the report is not rendered. I just get a blank page. What's worse, is that I cannot find any errors thrown in any of my logs. In general, when you have a component that is not rendered, but no errors can be found, what types of things should I look at? How do you troubleshoot problems like this? Injected values are cleared after the invocation, so you won't be hanging on to the values long enough to care about passivation. 1 - yes 2 - don't understand the question 3 - We've talked about that, but as I recall the problem is that java doesn't store the parameter names (it does, but only as debug information). That means we can't get to the names to do injection in a way that is both simple and consistent with the rest of Seam. Given that you can have an EL method-binding like #{bean.doSomething(em)} now, it's generally not a big issue.
