[JBoss Seam] - Re: Timer not starting from method with @Create annotation.

Hi Pete I have the exceptions caught for the scheduler, processor methods as well as the place where I invoke the saveAndSchedule() method. Don't see any other exception raised. The exception seems to happen after certain time period(I see all the relevant operations completed on the schedule object by that time like closing the JDBC connection, invalidating the objects etc.) after which the exception pasted by me is thrown at the end. I am not sure if I saw the right source here, org/jboss/ejb/txtimer/TimerImpl.java code seem to throw this exception on some timeout, not sure what could cause this timeout in my case. -- Mani. [JBoss Seam] - Id equals 0 ?

Hello, I have a problem with my seam-generated app After saving an object using EntityHome, the id returned from the base is always '0' If I understand the code of the 'persist' method, the id is asked to the DBMS, after inserting a newly created entry : | @Transactional | public String persist() | { | getEntityManager().joinTransaction(); | getEntityManager().persist( getInstance() ); | getEntityManager().flush(); | assignId( PersistenceProvider.instance().getId( getInstance(), getEntityManager() ) ); | createdMessage(); | return "persisted"; | } | But the "PersistenceProvider.instance().getId" returns always 0, even if the entry is properly created in the database. So after saving an object, I can't press the edit button, or any other else, unless an exception occur : | org.jboss.seam.framework.EntityNotFoundException: entity not found: com.fitnetapplication.certifications.entity.Certification#0 | If I press the "Done" button, go back to the list and select my newly created entity, everything is fine. How can I make this "getId()" give me the generated id from the database ? <cflow-stack> is not the one I am looking for. There is no stack requirement in my case. In the context of i18n, I would like to use a message key to obtain selectItems label. It's been a while, but let me see if I can remember what we did. I know I had to get the JNDI names correct (set it up in the components.xml, either hardcoded in a test resource, or let maven do the filtering). Then, yeah this step may seem very obvious, make sure you have the datasource XML file along with any of the other Embeddable container configuration files. That should pretty much do it (assuming you have the jars for the EEJB container). If you're having the same problem give a full stack track and exerts from your pom. Where is the JBossTS config file? I do not see 'allowMultipleLastResources' as a MBean property on TransactionManagerService. Extra work: the phrase "This is transactionally unsafe and should not be relied on" implies that we should modify our legacy systems to use XA transactions and not depend on this option. 'Not recommended' implies we should stop doing it real soon now.
