Hey, just to mention: - If I replace Seam's 'fileUpload' tag with Myfaces one it works well and the file gets uploaded. - Something is very odd, even if I bind the tag with a varabile/backend seam component that does not exist it doesnt throw a 'property not found' exception when the page gets rendered, it renders the file component anyway and for sure it never calls the setMethod of the property binded to the 'data' parameter of the tag. Hi All, Sorry by the post, but i found what is wrong! The release Method is not invoked each time, couse the specification said that there are a pool of taglib instance class, that could be reused. So i invoke the release method in the doEndTag method for cleaning up my attibutes. And its works fine. [Installation, Configuration & Deployment] - ClassLoading questions

Hi there! According to http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=JBossClassLoadingUseCases When I have a non-scoped deploy, and a version of a class on my server/default/lib and on my war/lib I get the version loaded by the first UCL (the 2nd scenario on the page). Well I give it a try. Created a simple class with a method. Put a version on the server lib and one on the web archive lib. It is loading the version from the web archive always. I'm using JBoss 4.2.0.GA. I've checked the docs and they mention a WAR classloader that if servlet 2.3 is enabled it loads first from the WEB archive than from the parent. How do I know if am I using this model? Looking futher at the configuration I have discovered that just adding <core:entity-manager-factory name="dbFactory" persistence-unit-name="bookingDatabase"/> to the components.xml file in the Glassfish example of jboss-seam-1.2.1.GA causes all the errors in the previous post. On examination of the org.jboss.seam.core.EntityManagerFactory source code I found that there is a requirement for EntityManagerFactory to use the Seam microcontainer: | @Scope(ScopeType.APPLICATION) | @Intercept(NEVER) | @Startup(depends="org.jboss.seam.core.microcontainer") | public class EntityManagerFactory | { | | private String persistenceUnitName; | ... | I am pretty certain that I should not need to use the microcontainer in Glassfish v2 as it is EE compliant. Could the problem I am having be related to http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=106649 and http://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBSEAM-1195 If so is there any way around it or will I have to use the Seam microcontainer with Glassfish to get <s:convertEntity/> working? [JBoss Seam] - <s:fileUpload> NPE

Hey, I'm trying to simply use fileUpload with no luck, submitting the form always returns null of the bean's property binded to the 'data' parameter of the 'fileUpload' tag. I have exactly the same code as mentioned at the begining of this post: http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=106837&postdays=... I use: - Glassfish as an app server - Seam 1.2.0.PATCH1 - Facelets - Stateful backend bean I don't have any special filters in web.xml except 'org.jboss.seam.web.SeamFilter' Any idea? Thanks. [EJB/JBoss] - Stateful session reference problem while upgrading to Jboss

We have a J2EE based product that we are running on Jboss 3.0.8. Its been in production for a couple of years now and is running fine. Recently we have tried to upgrade to Jboss 4.0 and we are seeing some strange behavior with our stateful session beans. We have a SFSB in our application that provides vital functionality for one of our core components in the product. The client JSP is storing a reference to the bean in the http session to make it available across multiple user requests. During testing after upgrade we noticed that somehow the reference to stateful session bean is getting mixed up and we see data being shared among two user sessions resulting in user being able to see data that is not related to them. Now the bean carries a lot of state information mostly stored in Vectors. This seemed to be working in Jboss 3.0.8. Is anybody aware of any performance improvements or changes in Jboss 4.0 that might cause this behavior. I am aware that the problem could be in our bean implementation which might not be compatible with the J2EE compliant behavior followed by Jboss 4.0. As you know, such problems are very hard to debug specially when the client is just a bloated JSP without a controller. Any sort of help will be greatly appreciated. I think that Javassist is instrumenting field access incorrectly inside static methods (when the static method accesses an instance variable of an object passed as a parameter). That's why it affects these $access methods so much ... that's pretty much what those do.
