To answer your question, "where am I stuck at?", well, that varies as I try different things. I seem to be able to startup both the front end and back end servers without any issues but when the front end servlet tries to lookup the EJB, I get the errors. The errors change depending on what settings I am currently using. It's a shame you haven't used IIOP before because what I think would really help me is a concrete example of a servlet communicating with an EJB over iiop. I haven't been able to find one though. I think if I had a working example I could figure out where I am going wrong. I think that my problem lies with one or more of these: 1. my jndi.properties, 2. my jacorb.properties, 3. my InitialContext as defined in my servlet, 4. my EJB lookup in the servlet. Everything I have read discusses how JBoss doesn't need stubs and skeletons making the deployment easier. I agree that skipping a compilation step does make the process easier but I still think there needs to be something explaining the required configuration. [JBoss Portal] - jboss portal and mysql

Hi all I'm trying to use jboss portal 2.2 + jboss AS 4.0.5 + mysql 5, i have followed the instrutions but when i deploy the portal i get errors onj first deploying saying some table problems (can't reproduce right, i will paste here tomorrow if need). In 4.2 the Tomcat related SARs got renamed so we wouldn't have to keep changing them every time we went from TC 4 to TC 5 to TC 5.5 to TC 6. The file you want is JBOSS_HOME/server/all/deploy/jboss-web.deployer/server.xml. Also, the tc5-cluster.sar from 4.0.4/4.0.5 is jboss-web-cluster.sar in 4.2. [Clustering/JBoss] - issues with setting up cluster on JBoss 4.2.0 GA

I am trying to setup JBoss cluster with two nodes on a single windows XP machine. I have two configurations node1 and node2. I am following the document at http://docs.jboss.com/jbossas/guides/clusteringguide/r2/en/html_single/ to set up the cluster. This document (section 1.5.4) refers to updating JBOSS_HOME/server/all/deploy/jbossweb-tomcat50.sar/server.xml, but there is no jbossweb-tomcat50.sar that came with this JBoss version. Do I need to get sar separately or use another sar?
