Hi Gavin, how do you think about controlling the number of the active conversations per user(session)? That means that the old conversations will be destroyed when the number of the user's active conversations is beyond the maximum number of the conversations per user(session). Why is your faces-config.xml empty? Shouldn't it contain: <view-handler> com.sun.facelets.FaceletViewHandler </view-handler> <el-resolver>org.jboss.seam.jsf.SeamELResolver</el-resolver> ^ <phase-listener>org.jboss.seam.jsf.SeamPhaseListener</phase-listener> When your examples don't work properly it makes trying to learn/work with Seam very frustrating. Search Engine on JBoss does not search Seam's forums properly. Aka I could not search for a posting I read a while back regarding setting up Seam with JBoss 4.2. I tried to go back reading pages after pages on Seam's forum. I gave up after reaching July 14. :( So much time wasted on this upgrade... The "*" is a Hibernate HQL extension to JPA QL. I wouldn't use it because, as you figured out, it depends on the other projected attributes in the query and how that is grouped. The issue is that we can't really provide a generic count-query without the "*" in the Seam framework. So this is a catch 22... [JBossWS] - Does income xml request get validated against wsdl?

Hi, there: I'm using jboss4.2.0-GA, jbossws-1.2.1.GA. I have a wrapped document\literal web service. My question is does income xml request get validated automatically against the complex type defined in wsdl schema? if not, any configuration way to set to validate it automatically? I simply tested it by using soapUI, it seems no such xml validation implemented on any income xml request at all. So, just want to check if any configuration way exist in jbossws to validate automatically all those income xml request? Any help or comments will be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance. Hi jcg3 and all, No I am not trying to make my app run with JSF RI. My app is currently running well under JBoss 4.0.5GA and Seam 1.2.1GA. I've just installed JBoss 4.2.1GA and I need to configure Seam 1.2.1GA to run under it (or may be I don't need to!). With just JBoss 4.2.1 and an usual deployment of my app, I am running into this exception: anonymous wrote : Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/commons/digester/Digester In 4.0.5GA, this jar lives under jboss-4.0.5.GA\server\default\deploy\jbossweb-tomcat55.sar. I remember having to go through an exercise to copy this jar from Seam to this directory. However, with JBoss 4.2.1 this directory simply does not exist. The thing with setup is that it's usually a one time thing and I did it and forgot about it.
