[JBossCache] - Re: Could this be deadlock when modifying TreeCache

I had experienced the same error on one of our clusters (JBoss AS 4.0.5 and JGroups 2.2.7 though). I solved the issue by upgrading JGroups to 2.4 which fixed a deadlock issue as per http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JGRP-292 I'm not sure if 2.2.9-beta has the same issue, just thought I'd share my experience. which jars are mandatory to use the wsconsume ant task ? I have read in the build.xml of a sample inside JbossWS : core.classpath, jbossws.classpath, and many other jars... Are they all mandatory ? [JBoss Getting Started Documentation] - Section 2.2.3: Security Service. Securing the web console.

I'm using JBoss 4.0.5. 1. The documentation states: "The Web Console is in deploy/management/web-console.war." But there's no web-console.war in the deploy/management directory. Should the path be deploy/management/console-mgr.sar/web-console.war? 2. The conf/login-config.xml file contains the following element: | <application-policy name="web-console"> | <authentication> | <login-module code="org.jboss.security.auth.spi.UsersRolesLoginModule" flag="required"> | <module-option name="usersProperties">web-console-users.properties</module-option> | <module-option name="rolesProperties">web-console-roles.properties</module-option> | </login-module> | </authentication> | </application-policy> | But where are the two *.properties files located? What would be really nice to be able to do is to be able to separate the questions of: "Do I need to evict?" and "What should I evict?" into different responsibilities.... So that you could have an LRU eviction policy that evicts when a certain memory threshold is reached, or a FIFO eviction policy that evicts when a certain memory threshold is reached, or a MRU eviction policy that evicts when a certain memory threshold is reached, etc - without having to code a completely separate eviction policy for each. Because all of the existing eviction policies assume that maxNodes is how to decide when to evict, it's hard/impossible to put a memory threshold into an eviction policy without also having to code the details of LRU/FIFO/MRU/etc. I'm not really expecting anything to be magically done about this :-) , but I'd like to see if you disagree with me or have any good ideas about an approach for this (that doesn't involve wholesale changes in the org.jboss.cache.eviction package) that's a bit more flexible than subclassing LRUAlgorithm to make a LRUMemoryAwareAlgorithm, subclassing MRUAlgorithm to make MRUMemoryAwareAlgorithm, etc (which wouldn't be hard, but would be less than ideal from a code maintenance standpoint).
