[JBoss Portal] - New portlet instance not available in content definition for

Hi, Just a question about how to use portlet instances created using the management portlet: I created a new portlet instance in the management portlet. When I try to add this instance to a page in the content definition window it does not appear in the list of portlet instances to associate with a window. How do you make the newly created instance available? I'm using version 2.6 of the portal. [JBoss Seam] - Web Application Deployment (JSF [with Seam] + EJB3 [with Sea

Hi there, Me and my colleague, we're making a project for school using the J2EE, that uses the 3 tier concept for developing applications. So when we start off we searched over and we find JBoss Seam and some crazy features like removing the XML descriptors for almost everything (there are some places that makes sense the use of XML). We've read some books and started a project, using the seam-gen, etc.. But I've not seeing yet none of examples using "separate deployment". The doubt is: "how can we deploy a JSF project that communicates with the EJB3 that exists on another tier". Or in other way, making a separate deployment for EJB3 and another deployment for JSF, is that possible? Is there any configuration changes needed? Thanks a lot! Another thing, it's possible (not read much about it.. so if someone can abbreviate the time reading :) ) to interact with ajax4jsf in some way, using javascript hand made or jboss seam remoting, that we can refresh some part of the page (rerender an outputPanel). Sorry, Flavia; I must have missed the e-mail notification of your reply last Friday. I'll test what happens if I try twice in a row and post back. Kabir; the test is org.jboss.test.cluster.test.UndeployFieldTestCase. It's a pain to run as a one-test though; you have to create a couple AS configs that are set up for FIELD granularity replication, then start those bound to different addresses, and then run one-test. Before you do that, JBC 2.0.0.CR3 is due out any moment. Once it's out, let me check in my related changes. That will solve a lot of testcase issues and let you see the same thing I'm seeing. Then I'll post detailed instruction on how to run the test as a one-test. [JBoss Seam] - Redirection to a static URI

Hi i would like to redirect from my application to static content. but before I do this I need log some stuff so I call an action method and as a result of this action method the request should be redirected | <s:link value="#{doc.title}" action="#{searcher.link(doc)}"/> | | facesContext.getExternalContext().redirect("http://www.google.com"); | how ever this upper example is working fine for http sites but not for local file system redirects | facesContext.getExternalContext().redirect("file:/C:/temp/test.pdf"); | In the second case I dont get any errors but my site.xml gots redisplayed any hints?
