The JSFMetaBridgeFactory shouldn't be used in your case (it is used for the Management portlet, and that's how it worked after you changed the libraries). If you can send me your portlet (by email if it fits) i could try to work on it. That would help me recreate your environment. yes, i followed the directions on the jboss portal wiki to replace the sun jars with myfaces. after doing that the portal admin portlet worked. then i tried my seam based portlet which works with CR3. it looks like there has been new code added to the portal in JSFMetaBridgeFactory which assumes the application factory will be either from myfaces or sun. however, it appears that Seam initializes a different app factory, so JSFMetaBridgeLifecycleFactoryImpl gets a null pointer exception because JSFMetaBridgeFactory does not initialize the metaBridge. Yap looks like Seam depends on many Hibernate's core classes, I'll start writing the TopLinkPersistenceProvider and post the results/errors, one question about that, How do I tell Seam that it exists? I should add the provider to the classpath and? No I haven't this annotation. What it is really strange is that the same WS, deployed in the JbossWS 1.2.1 with Jboss 4.2.0 (obviously with the libraries updated to this versions) runs correctly. Maybe a problem with the libraries? Perapsh some important library that there isn't? Perhaps someone can answer the question Which is the latest reliable version? I am using this JBossTools-200706290355-nightly-ALL-win32.zip because it is the latest without builderfailures. Since all plugins are contained in the above mentioned zip, i suppose that they are also separately installable on top of eclipse-jee-europa-win32.zip but you have to try. Nah, It doesn't work, same error, and there are other missing classes, such as HibernateException, NestableRuntimeException and more. Should I report for the missing classes (mostly available within the Hibernate code package) ? Asaf.
