[EJB 3.0] - Client-interceptor

Version: jboss-4.2.0 (default config), EJB I have a requirement of sending in an extra-arg from the client to the server for every remote call, and the Interceptor on the server would validate this extra arg. I was able to successfully add the Interceptor on the server by adding to the ejb-jar.xml <ejb-jar> <assembly-descriptor> <interceptor-binding> <ejb-name>*</ejb-name> <interceptor-class> com.acme.MyServerInterceptor </interceptor-class> </interceptor-binding> </assembly-descriptor> </ejb-jar> The client side interceptor I have added to the StandardJboss.xml, to the stateless-rmi-invoker proxy-binding, does not get invoked. The only Interceptors I could see on the client are these org.jboss.ejb3.remoting.IsLocalInterceptor org.jboss.aspects.security.SecurityClientInterceptor org.jboss.aspects.tx.ClientTxPropagationInterceptor org.jboss.aspects.remoting.InvokeRemoteInterceptor These interceptors are getting picked up from StatelessSessionClientInterceptors entry of server\default\deploy\ejb3-interceptors-aop.xml How do I add the client-interceptor, to add this extra arg to the contextData and beable to read this on the server. [JBoss Seam] - @Startup and user session

Hi I have a Stateful session scoped component namely "userSettings". I want when user logged in its build method (annotated with @Create) being invoked. first I marked it with @Startup but when the pages are loading this component will load as well but at that time, there is no user logged in, so this throws an exception and after the user enters his username and password this component won't initialize for his session how can I make a component to be loaded just when a user is signing in? @Startup will load for any session even if no user signed in. [Installation, Configuration & DEPLOYMENT] - port 8080 closed with JBoss 4.2.1.GA

When I changed from using JBoss 4.0.5.GA to 4.2.1.GA people could no longer access my web applications from the Internet. I could still access it from the local host. netstat -a showed listening on port 8080 but a port test from the Internet said the port was closed. With 4.0.5.GA things worked fine and the port test reported that port 8080 was open. I looked in release notes and installation documentation and searched this forum but could find nothing on this. Its very secure though. Suggestions welcome.
