Yes, you're hunch is correct, we don't use maven. ;) Up to 2.0.0, anyway. I just realised that you are doing this via JMX. JMX won't support objects like Fqn. Does this work if you work on the cache directly, rather than via JMX? JBoss Cache, by default, stores stuff in memory (RAM). You can (optionally) configure it to also back up state to disk or some other form of persistent storage (see section on Cache Loaders in the User Guide). [JBoss Portal] - Serious bug if you rename a portal war

if you go to <JBOSS_HOME>/server/default/deploy and rename any of yuor portlet war(s) to something else, Jboss does'nt seem to pick up the renamed war. (even if you delete the tmp/work) directory. This happened in both 2.6.0 and 2.6.1GA builds. Please, any ideas as to how to overcome this problem? Actually this caused another problem. [Installation, Configuration & DEPLOYMENT] - deployment to remote JBoss - how to make application survive

We're building an application (Management Console) that will be managing other applications deployed JBoss instances running on remote nodes. There's JMX interface and MainDeployer MBean (didn't check JSR88 stuff yet). An application is deployed by deploy(URL) method of MainDeployer, so all I need is to expose EAR to be deployed from Management Console via http and pass its URL in a remote JMX call to MainDeployer. However, there's a problem. Applications being deployed in such a way are stored in /tmp directory (looking at MainDeployer code just confirmed it) and when the server is restarted, they just vanish! Of course there are a couple of workarounds, most silly thing I could think about is a tiny 'agent' application that will reside in remote JBoss, accept application to be deployed as file upload and then put it into server's /deploy directory. But this is kinda ugly, with all that jazzy JMX around. Better solution, anyone? Many thanks in advance.
