[JBoss Seam] - Failure to create and deploy a Seam project using the new st

I've spent the last couple of days trying to overcome my problem, without sucess ... I've downloaded the new RedHat studio, as I'm relatively new to Seam, and wanted "someone else" to do all the seam setup for me. I'm trying to build a simple WebApp with EJB3 support (I want my actions to be SLSB) , and deploy it on Jboss AS 4.2.1. Sounds simple ?? I can't get it to work !! By default, the Seam project is created as a Web project, which doesn't have EJB3 support. When I choose to create the project as an EAR deployment, I DO get the EJB3 support, but now the IDE tells me that anonymous wrote : "Project facet EAR 5.0 is not supported by target runtime JBoss 4.2 runtime." I know it sounds silly, but I'm stuck. I'm sure it can be done somehow and I'd appreciate your help. I saw the same exception in my application. [JBoss Seam] - General object-locking gizmo

Hello, I need an application level class for general locking with an interface something like public void lock(Object o, User u); public void unlock(Object o, User u); // u for verification public boolean isLocked(Object o); public List getUserLocks(User u); public void releaseAllUserLocks(User u); The issue if the all-too-familiar "what happens when the user just hangs around". If i make this an application-scoped component, how should I handle this? If I put a destroy-methdod that calls releaseAllUserLocks on a session based component, does it detect the session has ended (probably not) or is it detected only when accessed the next time? Do I have to maintain a sessionid->user mapping somewhere in the servlet context and use a session-ended-listener? Even then, can I access the seam component from there? Any other options? I am using Redhat developer studio.it provides ? Eclipse 3.3 ? Hi Ronald, thanks for ur reply. I am integrating jbpm workflow with spring based webapp. So in the form controllers, I have to send data to the jsp based on which way the task ended (the command buttons for the next task based on permissions for the user).
