This kind of global questions are un-answerable on the forum. Catch me at some conference - JBWorld is coming up in Februar ;-) - and I'll be glad to discuss this with you. One benefit that comes to my mind is that Spring takes plain POJOs. But then MBeans can also be POJOs, but they need additional information or must implement -MBean interface. If your system changes a lot, then you need something more powerful than plain Spring beans - that's what JBoss JMX provides. Hot (re)deployment, finegrained lifecycle, real dependencies, ... Or have a look at the new cool stuff we're doing - JBoss Microcontainer project --> the new JBoss5 Kernel. I'm also having this problem and I really can't get any further before CR2 is released or I can download from trunk. Hi! this looks like a problem with the xfire client; when using RPC-style operations, the different part elements must not have a namespace in accordance with the basic profile, which states; R2735 An ENVELOPE described with an rpc-literal binding MUST place the part accessor elements for parameters and return value in no namespace. If you are using seam components then you have to define Seam Component as LongRunningConversation Or SESSION. Then only you will get the list of updated datamodel. And then you can be able to update it. I don't think (I may be wrong) that JBM supports subcontext creation during destination deployment (useful feature though). That is, in your case, for creating /var/spool/test, it first has to create a context called var followed by another subContext call spool and then another subContext called test which, to my knowledge, JBM doens't do. We have a problem with an XFire generated client.
