My point with these code samples wasn't to write efficient code. Actually it was quite opposite - write ineffifient code to create stress conditions so that ineffifiencies on internal implementation EL/JSF/Seam would show up more clearly in profiler. And that would help in fixing it. Sorry... I didn´t make myself clear... I have a tab where I have the company info and a submit button for this info. After this data is submitted another tab shows up where the user can (but is not required to) input address info for the previously submitted company. Thanks, we will try that. However I think JBoss EL implementation has to be performance tuned anyway. For a table I still would have to write #{entity.property1} #{entity.property2} #{entity.property3} #{entity.property4} ... and so on for each column. And outjection doesn't help with these EL expressions. Sorry, I guess I made an assumption about your approach :) So are you saying that you may submit the company information and then submit the addresses? I was assuming it was an all or one approach, in other words the submit() handles persisting the entire unit of work (company information and addresses if any). I have seen much information up to JBoss 3.2, and a note about a change for 4.0.2, and have not been able to find anything since in way of details or examples. Unfortunately, one of the items still on its todo list is WARs, which is where I am 'breaking down'. My situation; - - Exceptions defined in an EJB Jar (Is this a good/bad idea?) - - EJB Jar in EAR root is listed in MetaInf Class-Path. - - EJB Jar has other dependencies, on other jars also in EAR Root, listed in EJB-Jar's classpath. Currently, this is not working, so I am trying to figure out how to fix it. Jean-Luc, The ui is indeed not intended (yet, nor am I sure it ever will be) a complete end-user application. At least not for complex systems. You can use it for RAD and indeed as an admin.
