Oh and I use StompConnect and the STOMP protocol's "expires" header, which in turn just sets JMSExpiration... is there a different way of setting expiration? Hi Hendra, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I can't get it to work, my messages seem to get stuck in the dummy MessageConsumer (even though I never call receive() on it). I tried with and without transactions and with all kinds of acknowledgement but no go... I also don't see how it could work, doesn't a MessageConsumer have an internal buffer where it stores incoming messages - otherwise, how could MessageConsumer.receiveNoWait() ever return a message? Maybe it's the way you set up your Connection or your Session, would you mind sending over your code? Any chance that a JBM developer could chime in and let me briefly know whether this is actually meant to work? If it's meant to be that straightforward, why the discussion about queue reapers and scalability? When I when back to get the error I realized it was caused by a problem in my cache-service.xml file. When I fixed that it works. So, all you need to do is copy jboss-cache.jar and jgroups.jar from all/lib to default/lib and put your cache mbean xml in deploy (I just copied and moded the one in all/deploy for the Ejb cache) and it works. Hi Jacob, (not at home right now, don't have the code at hand, but coming up) that's exactly what I'm doing, except for the | @Begin(nested=true) | public void withinNestedConversation() { | myList = new ArrayList(); | myList.add(somethingElse); | } | I don't really touch myList in this method, only 'somethingElse'. It gets updated with new values, persisted to the db and refreshed. Please post your code. When a conversation is nested, contextual variables in the parent conversation are read-only. This means that if you do something like: | @In(value="myList") | @Out(value="myList") | private List myList; | ... | | @Begin | public void beginParentConversation { | myList = new ArrayList(); | myList.add(something); | } | ... | | @Begin(nested=true) | public void withinNestedConversation() { | myList = new ArrayList(); | myList.add(somethingElse); | } | | ... | | @End | public void endNestedConversation() { | } | When endNestedConversation() is called the original list containing "something" will be reverted to. The list containing "somethingElse" is gone. If I remove the noSelectionLabel, then I get null children errors (sorry, don't have exact error or stack trace at the moment) because the list is not initialized. It does not make sense in this case to initialize it with a Factory since no search has been preformed yet when the page loads. I use the noSelectionLabel to catch that error and provide a valid child to the radio menu. Thanks for looking into it. Exactly. I can get state information to the user fine without page actions or any RESTful behavior. I just wanted the resulting page to be bookmarkable. Its a master/detail type of search and would like the detail record/page to be able to be bookmarked. [JBoss Seam] - UnsupportedOperationException at conversationList

I was trying to implement a simple non-EJB appliaction using Seam and JSF. Multiple conversation is working fine for me. But, when i try to check for the workspace management, I am getting unsupportedOperationException at conversationList variable.
