Thank you very much for your answer - but I think your suggestion will not work, because the Entity PartyIsPerson extends the Entity Party, which has a generated key like this: @Id | @SequenceGenerator(name="party_id", sequenceName="seq_partyid") | @GeneratedValue(generator="party_id", strategy=GenerationType.SEQUENCE) | public long getPartyId() { | return this.partyid; | } Therefore when I insert the person, I do not know the key. And therefore i think, that i cannot do the suggested following line | phc.setPartyidperson(p.getPartyId()); Do you know, what i mean? Any ideas? guys, I did not try to reproduce since I do not have the time to setup a 3.2.1 env). What surprises me is that only two people have this problem There are many users of jbpm so it would be welcome if there was some proof of this, e.g. debug logging showing the ending of a task but not saving the processvariables, in combination with a processdefinition etc... the type and version of the database etc... I've wrapped the set created for wildcardViewIds in a Collections.synchronizedSortedSet in org.jboss.seam.navigation.Pages.java. Will try locally to see if it fixes the issue. That's not the kind of short term solution you are (quite reasonably) looking for. But, your posts clearly show you as a community member with deep knowledge of JBC locking and valid inputs, so for sure we'd like any thoughts you have the new design. [EJB 3.0] - Quartz in Clustered Environment?

Documentation on using Quartz in Jboss is pretty slim. I did find this page that was very helpful: http://www.len.ro/work/articles/jboss/creating-a-quartz-job (thanks Merilen) and I was able to get the sample working. My question is about using Quartz in a JBoss cluster. Has anyone tried this? Any special documentation about how to setup Quartz to run in a JBoss cluster? My understanding of Quartz clustering is that Quartz uses a database to manage which jobs have been fired, etc. I don't see anything about setting up db connections (or datasources) for Quartz in JBoss. [JBoss Portal] - it is possible to create more than one action for portlet?

I am writing a news portlet and I need a lot of actions such as addNews, deleteNews etc. It is any posibility to do this without any framework such as struts? I saw when I call action, portlet change values parameter action=1, action=2 etc. How portal intepretate this? I can't find it in documentation.
