[JBoss jBPM] - How to add custom node?

Dears, I'm trying to add a custom node type, I edited the jbpm.cfg.xml by and then i added this line to the node.types.xml <node-type element="custom-node" class="ws.its.workflow.node.CustomNode" /> and then I edited the processdefinition.xml by changing the node element to <custom-node>........</custom-node> but it the graph of the jpdl dose not view this node,, and also I got an exception when I'm trying to insanciate this process definition. can any body help me plz? [JBossCache] - Problem after loading Huge data

Hi, I am new to Jboss cache, so i gone through some examples and try to use them to my requirements. here is my requirement. my aim is to store and retrieve frequency of a particular key (String), so i have written a wrapper methods to add, remove, and get frequency for a key. the tricky part here is to take the advantage of tree structure of Jboss cache to implement TRIES data structure, which means the input key will be splitted into chars and inserted in the tree as nodes and the leaf node contains the frequency. If the same key is inserted twice the frequency at the leaf will increase to 2 and so on. This structure helps me to save some space by sharing some of the roots nodes for the different leaf nodes. I didnt implement any replication or persistence mechanism. The problem here is when i insert 3mil (50mb) entries i am able to get the frequency in the way i am expected and if i try to insert 10mil entries (of size 105mb) all are getting inserted (ofcouse by increasing vm heap size) with out any error, but if i try to verify the existence of a key, i am getting not exist, can anyone comment on this behaviour? I have few questions. 1) I would like to know whether Jboss cache framework will suite to my requirement where it contain less depth (20 to 30 levels) and huge breath size (in thousands)? 2) Is there any limitations on Jboss cache memory size? I would also like to add the data volume of our application it would be around 70Gb which we are planning to cluster them on different VM on a single node. I mean I want to click on one link in portlet A, and the contents of portlet B and Portlet C should change accordingly. I have now tried to reproduce the issue in a standalone unit test and have succeeded to at least some extent =) I am now running two caches locally where one is producing data and the other one is inspecting the cache - causing data to gravitate to the second cache. The issue is replicated in the sense that the produces does get a buddy backup node for itself, but I can't seem to get that node to contain any data. The standalone test is much simpler and single threaded compared to the real life application so thats a plausible reason why we do not see the exact same behaviour (i.e. data inside the redundant buddy backup node). In short: The producer (master) is started: Master created: 192.168.1.135:51469 The slave joins the cluster and is added as a buddy to the master: MASTER: | null {} | /1 {1=c6m0p888dfvz} | /_BUDDY_BACKUP_ {} | /192.168.1.135_51470 {} The slave fetches cache contents and data is gravitated to the slave, thus moving to the slave buddy backup. But we also see the master having a buddy backup for itself (with no data): MASTER: | null {} | /_BUDDY_BACKUP_ {} | /192.168.1.135_51469 {} | /192.168.1.135_51470 {} | /1 {1=c6m0p888dfvz} The backup node for itself does not contain any data like in our real application but I think it might be symptomatic for the issue. I have a requirement that a user logs into some web portal and sumbits a quotation payload which then will invoke a jpdl deployed process that will process that document.In the version 3.0.4 there is some code in HomeBean.java in java-webapp that states how to call a process instance,but is it still applicable for this version? Hello, I would like to get an object implementing XADataSource interface from JNDI. I use Oracle and XADataSource that I have under JNDI tree is implemented by class: org.jboss.resource.adapter.jdbc.WrapperDataSource. Unfortunately the class does not implement XADataSource interface. I use standard oracle-xa-ds.xml, which is provided by JBoss in examples directory..... Background... Hi, Presently we are working with JBoss-jbpm and facing the following problems. 1. Ingeneral webapplications contain a folder which includes WEB-INF which contains lib,classes and web.xml file. However, we do not see such structure in jbpm-jpdl project. Hence, we would like to know how these things are implemented in jbpm-jpdl. 2. We are unable to use Ajax in our xhtml form where we are using a Richfaces calendar control in the jbpm-form. 3. How do we implement a Servlet & JSP in the jbpm-jpdl designer. Solved it.. some corrupt data is in the db. Since we did a restore of the db, we also restored the issue. One way to get rid of the DLQ errors is to shut down the server, and clean the tables manually from the db. DELETE FROM JMS_MESSAGES; Then restart the server. Hmm, those bean entries don't get seen if they are in jboss-service.xml and putting them in the bootstrap means adding lots of new stuff to the classpath there. That leaves the option of putting them in deploy, which probably means moving things that depend on the TransactionManager too i.e. the invokers. That goes rather beyond the scope I was originally envisaging, but it may be worth considering. [JBoss jBPM] - jBPM success stories?

Hi I work for a customer that is considering to replace their current commercial BPM engine with jBPM. I have done some research and implemented a proof of concept which proves that jBPM covers the functional requirements. However, I don't know much about jBPMs maturity. How stable is it? How buggy is it? Is it mature? Is it used by large clients with high reqirements regarding stability? Any success stories or other opinions you want to share? All kinds of feedback are welcome. This is just a cut down version of a much larger project of which I use Postgres with Glassfish for deployment testing (as Derby database doesn't work with jBPM). So I deliberately force that check that Java 1.6 is not run, meaning the right bracket is correct for a less than and not equal to condition. Also cos this currently doesn't work, I wanted to ensure people were running Java5 which is more widely supported than Java6 to rule out any issues there. As for your depenendency error, it's cos the project has not successfully compiled that project and so has not produced that artifact.
