Hello ragavgomatam, First of all thanks for your reply. I've tried putting "style class="header" instead of "class"header". Unfortunately, no success. When I point my browser to http://localhost:8080/numberG/pages/style.css it does present the stylesheet! It looks indeed like my CSS is getting hold up somewhere, but I don't know the where or what is the issue. If you don't specify remote access flags to the JVM for the platform mbeanserver, there won't be a way to remotely access it. You'd then have to secure jboss access, as usual. I have just noticed further up in my logs I am still getting Session is closed! It's the same problem as identified in this thread http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=4105609#4105609 I think the class cast exception is just a side effect of the session being closed. Has anyone got this working properly on weblogic 9.2 using CMT? In your HttpSessionListener, you have a sessionDestroyed() which in turn calls cleanUp(int id). In the cleaUp() call is made to ejb with an expired Principal . What happens is that when HttpSession times out, the Principal is cleared from Http session cache by jboss. So at that moment any calls to ejb's is made with an empty Principal resulting in the exception. Can you use the Principal from the request instead ? request.getPrincipal() should geive you the Principal from HttpRequest. Check if it null & then do what you want instead. I'll check that I don't have any spurious hibernate jars on my classpath. Perhaps it's the usual problem of weblogic having them on the classpath. btw do I need to get the EJB timer working for basic functionality? twiceknightly is simply my chess handle ... :). I'm married for goodness sake lol. Also JG 2.5 or later is specifically known not to work in some cases with JBM since it uses concurrent event queues which is new in 2.5. Tested/supported configuation of JBM in AS 4.2/4.3 is JGroups 2.4.1.SP3 with no multiplexor. Any other configuration you may or may not get to work, but we just don't know - it's not a tested/supported version/configuration.
