I have recreated the JBoss AS deployment directory (by moving aside my old version and unzipping the 4.2.2 download again). Now, I get: | 15:05:38,710 INFO [Scanner] scanning: /Users/bostroff/Downloads/jboss-4.2.2.GA/server/default/./deploy/cehc.war/WEB-INF/dev | 15:05:38,717 ERROR [[/cehc]] Exception sending context initialized event to listener instance of class org.jboss.seam.servlet.SeamListener | java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Bad version number in .class file | Some googling around suggests that this typically happens when you have some a jar compiled with JDK 1.6 and are running an earlier version of the JDK. I am (unfortunately?) running Leopard on a Mac and can only run JDK 1.5. Might this be my current problem (or the root of many of my problems)? [JBoss Portal] - Retrieving credentials from session for single-sign-on.

I have a simple portlet which I use to post to another web application in a new browser window. The portal username and password are posted to the other application providing single-sign-on into the other web application. I have this working in another portal vendor but now I need to integrate into JBOSS Portal. Are there API hooks in JBOSS Portal 2.6 where this information can be retrieved? I have an interface CredentialProvider which has three methods: public String getUsername() throws Exception; | public String getPassword() throws Exception; | public void createContext(RenderRequest request, RenderResponse response, PortletContext pContext)throws Exception; What I need to do is implement a JBOSS Portal specific implementation of this interface which my portlet will then instantiate via reflection. [JBossWS] - Web Serivce Response Missing the XML Declaration

Hello. New to JBOSS WS and am having problems with my web services as they do not appear to have an XML Declaration at the top of them. I need to consume them with FLASH which is somewhat picky and I think requires this declaration. When using Eclipse TCP/IP Monitor I can see the response is missing the XML Declaration on my JBOSS web services. The WSDL parses fine. I am running jboss-4.2.2.GA. How do I enable the XML Declaration so it will appear in the response? I need to deploy a servlet in jboss. I have previously only used Tomcat and am a newbie to Jboss. In Tomcat, I just put my war file in the webapps directory and I am done. Not sure how this works in jboss. Can someone point me in the right direction.
