I initially intended to use different regions under root, but can I have different replication policies for different regions? For example, can I have one region with full replication and another region with buddy replication? Thanks for the tip alessio. Unfortunately, it didn't really help. What I discovered, after some searching, is that injection doesn't work in 4.2.2GA and that the method I was using was correct in this case (5.0 is supposed to fix this issue, so I may upgrade to the beta eventually, after I get a better grasp of why things work in general). But I needed one more step: reference the size() for a set contained within the retrieved db object while in the current transaction. This eliminated all errors on the server side. The problem now is that the same set within that db object cannot be returned to the remote caller because of some problem converting from the set to XML (which causes some kind of infinite xml loop). I can return a value from the db object, but not the object. See http://forums.java.net/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=13670&start=15. I'll move this discussion over to the EJB3.0 forum now, as this appears to be specific to that part of JBOSS 4.2.2GA. Thanks again. [Persistence, JBoss/CMP, Hibernate, Database] - getting a handle on Session

Can someone help me out: my searching is finding nothing on how to get a handle to the Hibernate session so that I can do a Criteria query. Using: JBoss 4.0.5 & Seam 1.1.6. [Beginners Corner] - "Only a type can be imported. myPackage.myClass resolves to

Hello all, I am getting an, "Only a type can be imported. myPackage.myClass resolves to a package." exception when running a simple .jsp with the following import statement: <%@ page import="myPackage.myClass" %>. I tripple checked that myClass is indeed a class, and that myPackage is the full and correct package name. If I remove the import statement, the application runs sucessfully. I am running the web-app within Eclipse using JBoss version 4.2 and Eclipse version 3.3.0. I suspect this is a runtime configuration issue. I get this exception regardless if I include the source jar file in the Java Resources : src/ directory. Has anyone seen this problem before? I am running out of ideas an welcome any ideas. JBoss 4.2.2.GA Testsuite

All, I have been having some trouble lately running the testsuite for the JBoss_4_2_2_GA branch in svn. I have attempted to run these tests both other Mac OX X 10.5.1 and Solaris 10 with no luck. Each failure seems related to a server instance either taking too long to start, or not starting at all. Currently, I am running: $ cd testsuite && sh build.sh tests Any help would be quite welcome!
