[Security & JAAS/JBoss] - How to design multi language SOA security?

Hello all!! I'm writing this into the JBoss security forum because I can't find any better place to put it. I hope I will get some good answers or at least good advices of how to implement a security model in a multi language SOA environment. I have an environment where we have some Perl models running in an Apache (httpd). We have some Java web services, some Perl web services, some other external applications. So it's just an pretty normal environment. My problem is to define and implement a security model in the environment. I want to secure data on user/group level, but I also want to restrict access to web service operations and Perl functions per user/group level. Do you know how to do this, some articles about where to start? The rar is just a template for creating connectors, the -ds.xml file actually creates them. Also the jndi-name for a connector will be bound at java:eis/ConnectorProj not in the global namespace. [EJB/JBoss] - EJB BMP finder causing out of memory

I have a BMP bean on which I call finders that may return a very large number of rows from the db. My application is running out of memory and I am suspicious that it is because of the number of BMP beans being held in memory. Moving to commit option C made no difference. The bean is marked as ejb.transaction="Required". Could someone explain to me what s gongon. Thanks. Why don't you just use separate regions in the cache? I.e.: root {} | /data_a | /... // first data set here | /data_b | /... // second data set here That way you use one cache for your data.
