[EJB 3.0] - @TransactionTimeout does not work in Jboss 4.0.4???

I am using EJB3 on Jboss 4.0.4. I have a MDB which upon getting a message calls the stateless session bean(SSB). I am using the container managed transaction. The SSB since has to read lot of data from the Db and parse I wanted to increase the transaction timeout. I tried using the @TransactionTimeout annotation but it does not seem to work as I keep getting the Transaction is not active: tx=TransactionImpl:XidImpl exception. But when I changed the timeout value through the admin web console it works fine. Also I have the @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName="transactionTimeout" value="1800") set on the MDB. This appears to be fixed, with a change to the jbossweb-tomcat-55.sar/web.xml file. By setting a jsp param as follows: | <servlet> | <servlet-name>jsp</servlet-name> | ... | <init-param> | <param-name>enablePooling</param-name> | <param-value>false</param-value> | </init-param> | ...and then deleting the tmp and work directories in JBOSS_HOME/server/ and restarting JBoss. Wish I could have been more successful searching for this answer instead of posting again, but without much to go on as to what the actual problem was in the beginning, finding correct search terms was tough. [JBoss Tools (users)] - code completion not working

Hi, I just installed the new Jboss Tools 2.0 with eclipse 3.3.1.1, the code completion does not work for my seam entitys or beans, it works fine for jsf components and seam native components. When I was using a beta version of jboss tools, everything worked fine. Is that the expected behavior for the jboss tools 2.0 release? [JBoss Messaging] - mysql persistence performance - high load + deadlocks

ENV: JBoss 4.2.2 JBM 1.4 SP1 MySQL 5.0.x >From within an EJB3 slsb we pump about 600,000K messages into a clustered topic daily using XA transactions, which is consumed by 4 separate clustered durable subscriptions (this occurs in a cluster of 3 jboss nodes). When we use persistent messaging we see lots of deadlocks in mysql and a high unix load. When we don't use persistent messaging the deadlocks and high load goes away. My question is have you all come across this also and is there any configuration work around to lower the load and deadlocks when using persistent messaging? [Beginner's corner]Multiple deployment problem!

I am having problems with multiple war deployment in a short period of time. I deployed a war 7 times in a 10 minute time span. The problem was that java ran out of memory so I increase the memory. The next time around, certain parts of the application stopped working until I restarted jboss. Is there anything that I can do about that? Researching does not help. I do not have write permissions to the "server" directory under jboss_home. How can I get run -c to find my server deployment if it is somewhere else? I've tried everything I think is obvious, but JBoss keeps looking in jboss_home/server for it. [JBoss jBPM] - Error in variables list intaskform.xhtml

I am trying to list the controller variables. They are showed ok, but when I try to submit the form, clicking in save button, I got this error. If I delete de inputText line, the controller variables works fine, but I can delete because I need the input in the form. the error says that variableInstances is null, but they are listed ok when enter in the page.
