What is a "workmanager"? There is no such term in JBoss AS (the concept might be there, but under a different name - it is always a good idea to define terms specific to other app servers) I am not sure why you want to modify jca-jboss-beans, other than the fact that it contains the text "workmanager". I doubt that this is the same concept as the "workmanager" in WebSphere. You do not need annotations when using EJB 2.x. Please go back to what I posted in my previous response, perform the tasks I asked, and post the results that I asked for. And it was nice of you to hint that you are using JBoss AS 5.0. Are you, by any chance, running a 64-bit version of XP? I ask because the service exe that comes with JBoss AS runs only on 32-bit Windows. If this does not help you, then comment out the echo statement (first line) in service.bat, run it again and post the output. I was able to start Jboss 5 from command prompt(refering to run.bat) but when I try to install Jboss as windows service(ie., service.bat install) this is the error I get "The system cannot execute the specified program." Thanks for response... But can you tell me how can we manage which processes (start) to see who ... If am going to implement user interface is this possible, only a perticular group to start the process. In my requirement, the process should always start by any one from a perticular group of user. Hi, We are managing who may see (start) which business processes manually in our application. I am not sure why their is no support for security around the process itself. Starting a business process is itself a form of task which only certain users should be able to do. Hi, I am ramu. i am having a problem with group by clause. my entities are project and bid my query is SELECT distinct(p.projectId) FROM Project p JOIN p.bids b GROUP BY p HAVING COUNT(b) > 1 the above query is returning projectid. but i want to get project object. for that i have tried like this but not working SELECT distinct(p) FROM Project p JOIN p.bids b GROUP BY p HAVING COUNT(b) > 1 it is saying not a GROUP BY expression please help me its very urgent. Hello, thanks for your answer. I found out that I have problems with the workmanager. In WebSphere you must define a workmanager in the administration console. In JBoss I found the file jca-jboss-beans.xml but I found nothing in the web about it. I am new to the "annotation thing". Must I define annotations to the java code for JBoss? Can someone give me an example or a documentation link?
