I see three things in the server.log 1) The logging subsystem is complaining. Have you packaged log4j.jar in your war? If yes, recommend you remove it if you can. 2) You nextapp.echo2.webcontainer.ContainerInstance class is throwing an NPE. Can't help you there. 3) Your code is trying to pass an object that doesn't implement java.io.Serializable as a value to HttpSession.setAttribute(String key, Object value). That is not allowed, as all attributes need to be serialized for session replication to work. My puprpose is for debugging my code. some where in my code an exception is caught and not thrown and not write in the log, i need to find this place. if i can add a pointcut on any exception that is thrown in the system it can help me to find this place. Re: the memory usage pattern with buddy replication, I too expect the memory usage to be consistent across the 3 nodes if you are applying load evenly to them. When I've tested this, that's what I've seen. So, not sure why you're seeing something different. Re: the effect of a logout, if you call session.invalidate() the session is removed cluster-wide. (If you just wait for the session to timeout, each node in the cluster independently does that.) I just looked at the impl of the TreeCache.getNumberOfAttributes() method and don't see any reason why it would overcount. So I'm concerned you've identified some bug here. You're looking for an equivalent to the AS 4 farm directory, which doesn't exist in AS 5. I didn't plan to restore it, but enough people are asking for it that I'm reconsidering that decision. Have a look at the logs for the server at 141.209.26.30 -- that's the one the state transfer request is going to. >From a look at the logs, it seems like the failures are due to not getting a state transfer response within the configured timeout. Often that would be due to some issue on the server that's provided the state. [EJB 3.0] - Entity relationships across persistence-units

Hi all, I'm looking for recommendations, patterns, or examples for setting up relationships between entity beans that span persistence units. For example, I have a single value unidirectional relationship from class Foo to Bar: | @Entity | class Foo{ | private Bar bar; | | @ManyToOne(fetch=FetchType.LAZY) | @JoinColumn(name="BAR_ID") | public Bar getBar(); | } | Foo is managed by persistence-unit A, Bar is managed by persistence-unit B. My current solution foregos the object relationship and just stores a Long barId in Foo. I've read through the ejb3_persist spec for guidance, but there are no examples or indications saying, "Don't do this." If these types of relationships are verboten, what patterns are people using to resolve these types of entity associations? [JBossWS] - Java to XML for web services

Hi. I have a java pojo that I am converting to an XML string and then returning from a web service (JAXB). I have to make sure that the data is returned in a CDATA block, so I used XMLSerializer from this example as a guide: | | https://jaxb.dev.java.net/faq/JaxbCDATASample.java | | Everything works fine, but I have read that in Xerces 2.9.0, the XMLSerializer and OutputFormat classes are deprecated. What is the equivalent (non-deprecated) code for transforming a Java pojo to XML? I cannot find any examples online that do the equivalent type of this transformation using STAX or DOM.If anybody could share an example or their approach to doing this, that would be great. Also, I am using the Marshaller from JAXB, but just to reiterate, I also need the XMLSerializer functionality which prevents <> characters from being returned as HTML < and > tags to the client. Also, how can I find out what version of Xerces is used for a particular version of JBoss AS? I would like to know the Xerces version for JBoss AS 4.2.2 and 5.0. I checked inside the xercesimpl.jar in the lib/endorsed directory, but the manifest file said Xerces version 1.2? Am I reading that correctly? Thanks.
