Hi redbird, Sorry to hear you are having such a hard time deploying, that is definitly not the intention nor what we normally hear users having problems with. Eclipse WTP 2.0.1 is available here http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/downloads/drops/R2.0/R-2.0.1-2007092... if you want to give it a try. But the more I think of it I believe you are bumping into some kind of bug for the deploy only server that we still need to identify. Before you leave screaming away could you at least try the "normal" AS adapter provided from Red Hat to see if they work as expected for you ? Yes, these will start and stop the server for you but just to check what we are dealing with here...e.g. if that also fails for you there is some special condition in your setup that we need to figure out what is causing it and if it does not fail we know it must be something in the deploy only server. For the vast majority of people the latest production release (so at the moment 4.2.2GA) is the one to use. Only reason to use something else would be to retain commonality in client libraries with another server running another version, or wanting to live dangerously and experiment with the betas. [JBossWS] - Obtain SOAP attachment from PostMethod

Hi, I have written a client bean that calls a SOAP method, that returns back an attachment. I can sucessfully call and return back the raw message, however, I want to obtain just the attachment (and maybe save it to file or something). I can get the raw message, by just calling getResponseBodyAsStream. I am wondering, is there a nice InputStream to SOAPMessageAttachment type of function avaliable? Or how is the best way to do this? [JBoss Portal] - Config Portal SSO With CAS Successfully, But Wrong Charset

Hi, I am using jbp2.6.4 for my portal system, and I have config sso with cas successfully. When I only used jbp without cas, there is not any problem. I can input chinese in user's firstname/lastname or new dashboard name, the database saved the record correctly and the portal worked very well. When I config sso with cas, portal worked very well. But when I input chinese in user info page and dashboard configration page, the database saved wrong characters, and the portal page show wrong characters. Like this:ä½ å¥½ > Ã¤Â½ Ã¥Â¥Â½ How can I fix this problem? Please help me. this is correct. however, the preferences section of a portlet is read-only (for non read-only preferences as well). and more. when i redeploy a portlet instance for which i have overriden the orig preferences in portlet-instances.xml, the changes are not applied, as the instance is already deployed and there is no 'override' option in portlet-instances.xml. so is there a way to manually 'clear' the deployed instance (in database maybe) and allow the changes to be applied when i redeploy it? Great! so actually, in order to hook into the portal from within a portlet i do not need any jndi lookup for services. i can just use this simple API :-) what about hooking into the portal PortalSession and PortalRuntimeContext? can they be also accessed from within a portlet?
