Do you see tables related to portal created in your database? This is what sample SQLServer descriptor look like. [JBoss Portal] - Deployment of JBoss Portal from sources

Hi, I was able to sucessfully build and deploy Jboss portal from the source. I am able to bring up the portal screen and login as admin or user. However, the problem is that though I can see all the tabs like Admin, Members etc, no information gets displayed. They are just blank pages. I did point the defaultDS to a different database than hypersonic. There are no errors that are getting displayed but I do see a series of following messages : 15:36:37,593 WARN [LoadContexts] fail-safe cleanup (collections) : org.hibernate.engine.loading.CollectionLoadContext@ de1c4<rs=org.hsqldb.jdbc.jdbcResultSet@10c51ef> 15:36:37,593 WARN [LoadContexts] fail-safe cleanup (collections) : org.hibernate.engine.loading.CollectionLoadContext@ 49a7<rs=org.hsqldb.jdbc.jdbcResultSet@e5488e> Per some other thread in this forum, these can be completely ignored. any suggestions greatly appreciated on why data is not displayed within the portal ? I would say yes : - they are provided by the portal, for the portal features - should not make any problem, as they are in the war. may be there is a collision with your one.... but I don't see why. what you may check : open these jar, look in the manifest file the version. check also their size. and with your. would be better they are the same version. (so the same size). Unfortunately, at this time portlets in JBoss Portal can return only html text. So it is not possible to generate an image. Well, I get 3 el-ri.jar in jboss-portal.sar\portal-admin.sar\portal-admin.war\WEB-INF\lib2 jboss-portal.sar\portal-identity.sar\portal-identity.war\WEB-INF\lib2 and \jboss-portal.sar\portal-wsrp.sar\portal-wsrp-admin.war\WEB-INF\lib2 Should they be there? Hi Can I dynamically generate an image with a portlet? I know you can do so with a servlet, but I don't have experience with that also, so, is there any reason why it can't be done with a portlet? I made a test on my system with the following line in the code (Windows 2k3): | 127.0.0.1 localhost | ::1 localhost6 | This did not resolve the issue. I am able to ping localhost as ::1 and localhost6 as ::1 as well. 127.0.0.1 is pingable.
