You can't configure JBoss Messaging to prevent your firewall closing connections! If your firewall decides to close connections then no application can stop it - if it could it would be a pretty useless firewall (think of the exploits). You need to read your firewall manual and find out how to prevent it from closing connections. If you create a non durable subscriber it will only receive messages that are sent while that subscriber exists. That is *as per JMS spec*. If you want to receive messages that were sent while the subscriber is not is connected, you need to use a durable subscriber. Again, I would suggest reading the JMS spec for an understanding of the differences between durable and non durable subscribers. 1. You could try running AS 4.2 with Remoting 2.4. It hasn't been tested, but I believe it should work. No promises, though. 2. You could apply the change from JBREM-877 "New Socket Connection is being Created for Every Client Request to the Server" and roll your own jboss-remoting.jar. 3. As I mentioned in the other thread, multiple copies of org.jboss.remoting.Client (which is used by EJB3 clients) connected to the same server share the same underlying invoker and connection pool. If you keep one EJB3 alive, that should be enough to keep a shared connection pool in existence. [Clustering/JBoss] - Cluster and context parameters

Hi All, Sorry for duplicate posting, but I don't know if this was a clustering issue or a tomcat configuration issue. I have a web application, which reads config URL mappings from the context parameters placed in the web.xml file (FacesContext.getExternalContext().getInitParameterMap()). Using jboss 4.2.2 in the "default" configuration the application works fine, but with the same war file under the "all" configuration the getInitParameterMap() function returns null. Where do I have to set up context-parameters for clustered web applications if not in the war packaged web.xml file? Yes, I went through this post already. Pool size is min 10 and max 50. <blocking-timeout-millis> is 30000 milli seconds which I have not changed. I did not change it because my application was running fine from last 2 years. Only now we are facing this issue. There is no major change in my application which can cause this issue. We are closing connections every where we open it. One clue is, I could see deadlocks happening before this exception happened. There is one SP which will be run by 5 to 6 threads same time. This might have caused deadlocks. My application handles deadlock issues properly (We couldn't avoid it). Is there any leak in the pool when a deadlock happens? connection.close() we call in finally block always. I understand that is what it is supposed to do. It works if I redirect to the default portal (or url) and crashes if I do not specify an URL. It's a bug. The dashboardNav is doing it differently, is there a public signout url factory? We donot face any problem. But when we deploy it in a different machine. we are not able to invoke the end points. I tried telnet 8292 and 8293 ... i get cannot connet : connect failed. I am starting the Jboss ESB using: run.bat -b 0.0.0.0 I am very new to JBoss and any assistance in this regard would be very helpful.
