You don't need to read an attribute, just need to be sure HttpServletRequest.getSession() is invoked. You should verify, but I think it almost always is without any effort on your part; e.g. by the Tomcat authentication logic if you use container managed security or by populating the standard 'session' variable if you use a jsp. The message is left in the queue when a non-recoverable exception occurs. Currently only StaleStateException and LockAcquisitionException are treated as recoverable. System exceptions, such a connection acquisition problem, need administrative action before proceeding, so they are not recovered automatically. After you fix the problem you would recover the affected process manually. Neither the console nor a simple API call currently allow you to do so for individual process instances, but you can do it for all instances by redeploying the .ear. Re: jmsConnection.stop(), there is a feature documented in the javadoc for that method which may explain the behavior: anonymous wrote : If message listeners are running when stop is invoked, the stop call must wait until all of them have returned before it may return. While these message listeners are completing, they must have the full services of the connection available to them. If no reception is in course when you invoke the method and still delivery does not stop, then there is an probably an anomaly in the implementation. [EJB/JBoss] - JBoss Clustering and Failover for EJB3 not working

I have EJB3 beans hosted in JBoss 4.2.2GA. They are clustered. 2 JBoss nodes have deployed the EJB's and are running in clustered environment. The clustered JBoss nodes recognise each other. My program uses TCP instead of UDP for communication. The client program uses Spring to access the EJB beans. The Jndi properties ip and ha-jndi port number of the Jboss nodes is provided to the client. It can connect to the JBoss and can start. But, When one of the nodes to which it is connected is brought down, it fails to reconnect . The jboss does not do an automatic failover to the other node. Is there any special configuration for automatic failover to other clustered node ? I have no idea why this is happening ! Hi, Brian. We are running AS 4.2.2 GA. So, if I understand this correctly, regardless of how the replication trigger is configured once the maxInactiveInterval has passed since the last replication, first subsequent read request will trigger replication. This means, that at a very least we should read some value from session on each request, correct? To avoid conflicts with other applications that use the default hibernate configuration file name (hibernate.cfg.xml) it was renamed jbpm.hibernate.cfg.xml in jBPM BPEL. Who throws the exception, Portal or jBPM?
