You can deploy applications (packaged as, for example, EAR or WAR files) by copying them to the server/default/deploy directory. Look at the free chapter for JBoss In Action at http://www.manning.com/jamae. It will get you started with a simple hello world app. And it explains basic operations and the directory structure. One warning, though: JBoss In Action is targeted at JBossAS 5.0 so the directory structure is slightly different. [Persistence, JBoss/CMP, Hibernate, Database] - Re: Trying to get JBoss and Hibernate to integrate

It looks like not all those jars are there in the hibernate lib folder... after looking it over that tutorial looks like it is for hibernate 2, so I wonder if that is why they arent in the directory. I am still having issues with the hibernate.cfg.xml. It is now not being recognized in the meta-inf folder nor in the root directory. This has really left me stumped. [Beginners Corner] - getting the number of open JDBC connections.

Hello; Ok I am a novice programmer. I am working on a very complex application that has Hibernate and EJB. I am getting consistant reproducable exceptions stating that I cannot get a connection from the data source at specific points in my app. It does not matter time or load. I am trying to see if the problem is in my data source configuration file or on the DB side.
