You could hook into the user maintenance and add code to manage the user in your database. The other possibility is to use the user name in combination with the user's registration date. That should always be unique. Of course, you still might want to have a maintenance routine that runs every now and then removes data for users that are not longer in the portal database. All right, So, I've finally took the plunge and started the application. I have a pretty cool data structure that holds my various user profile attributes based on the hibernate Map<Entity, Entity> capability. I chose this route because our user application from is ALWAYS changing from management, outside influences, new apps coming online, etc. To handle this user form during the process, I was thinking about just referencing a new hibernated entity and then merging into the 'finished' application forms at the end of the process. The trick here is I want each of the nodes to access the form in different ways. So, does it sound appropriate to implement a custom node that can deal with the permissions on the attribute data map? I can see an alternative to this would be to use the standard node types and simply merge the process variables into a new application form at the end of the process. Also, another thing I was wondering about, is there a way to 'cancel' or draw back tasks associated with a given node or process? This would be useful if the user cancels the workflow. Did you set up the mod_jk config such that *.php requests are forwarded to JBossAS? Hi Peter Thanks for the reply. Would it not be a problem if the user is deleted. Then it would be possible to create a username with the same username for a different user. I suppose one can check and delete all the data or do something intelligent once the user is deleted. Hi Manik, thank you for your response. This indeed makes sense, though I forgot to mention that our custom CacheLoader is one-way; it does not write any values back to the store. Is there a way I can configure JBC so it does not try to persist the data using the CacheLoader? Regarding locks, is there a difference between a CacheLoader's put() into the cache and an externally called put()? I could discard the CacheLoader and load and put the values outside of the cache.
