[JBoss jBPM] - Problem with task form generation with defined variables

Hi, In a process definition I have: | <task-node name="Set Project Name"> | <task name="Set Project Name" swimlane="ProjectDirector"> | <controller> | <variable access="read,write,required" name="projectName" mapped-name="Project Name"></variable> | </controller> | </task> | <transition to="Set something else"></transition> | </task-node> but when I try to generate a form for that task (Details->Generate Form) I see no fields in a "Define the form fields". I wonder if they shouldn't be copied from the variables defined in that task? I have to set it manually in the "Generate Task Form" diagram. But even then after another call of "Generate Form" form fields list in empty again. I saw a bug: http://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/GPD-194 but I can generate a form when I add (every time) form fields manually. Could you tell me what I do wrong? I'm using JBoss jBPM JPDL Designer Plugin 3.1.2.GA in Eclipse 3.3.1.1. Can any one explain 1. Why does jboss downloads say to install JBOSS via JEMs Installer to make EJB 3.0 to work on JBOSS4.0.4 ? Extract from downloads page --------- Important Note: If you want EJB3 or Seam support with JBoss AS 4.0.3 SP1, 4.0.4 or 4.0.5, you MUST download and use the relevant version of JEMS Installer together with JDK5.0. JBoss AS 4.2.x versions include support for EJB3, by default. --------- 2. Is there any difference if EJB installed manually and JEMs installer? Hi, I have met a problem using EntityHome with Seam, I have found a solution by modifying a setter but I want to be sure it is the proper way to do it. In order to implement a function âPost a topic in a forumâ, I have created 2 EntityBeans : Subject and Message. There is a oneToMany (two-way association) relation between Subjet and Message. public class Subject implements Serializable { ... private List associatedMessages = new LinkedList(); @OneToMany(cascade = CascadeType.ALL, fetch = FetchType.LAZY, mappedBy = "ownerSubject") @OrderBy(value = "messageId ASC") public List getAssociatedMessages() { return associatedMessages; } public void setAssociatedMessages(List associatedMessages) { this.associatedMessages = associatedMessages; } ... } public class Message implements Serializable { ... private Subject ownerSubject; @ManyToOne(fetch = FetchType.LAZY, cascade = CascadeType.ALL) @JoinColumn(name = "OWNER_SUBJECT_ID") public Subject getOwnerSubject() { return ownerSubject; } public void setOwnerSubject(Subject ownerSubject) { this.ownerSubject = ownerSubject; } } When a Subject instance is created, at the same time a 1st Message instance is created too and added to the List the subject, as shown in createSubject2() of the SessionBean SubjectHome @Name("subjectHome") public class SubjectHome extends EntityHome { ... @In(required=false) MessageHome messageHome; public void createSubject2() { this.messageHome.getInstance().setOwnerSubject(this.getInstance()); this.messageHome.persist(); this.logger.info("NUMBER OF ASSOCIATED MESSAGES : " + this.instance.getAssociatedMessages().size()); } ... } I've checked: 2 instances were successfully persisted, so in the datebase, 2 new rows were inserted in Subject table and Message table with no problem. However in the console : INFO [SubjectHome] NUMBER OF ASSOCIATED MESSAGES : 0 And when I navigate to the webpage which is used to show something of corresponding message of a Subject i met such error: CODE: #{subject.associatedMessages.get(0).submitTime} ERROR: /subjectList.xhtml: java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 0, Size: 0 So I add a line in the Setter in my Message EntityBean : public void setOwnerSubject(Subject ownerSubject) { this.ownerSubject = ownerSubject; this.ownerSubject.getAssociatedMessages().add(this); } This solves our problem, the new message is well in the subject List attribute without having to open a new session. I just want to verify if it's ok to add additional line in Setter of EntityBean, just like what I did ? Thank you! [Beginners Corner] - Jboss on tmp directory

Hi all, when I locate an application in deploy directory, and this application run, the aplication work on a temporal directory locate in jboss/server/default/deploy/tmp/random_number_applicacion-name/ . I need to locate a file, fixed in one variable, who is inside this deploy structure but I don't obtain the absolute path because the directory change whenever is rebooted jboos. Someone know how to reference the temporal directory in which is deploy my aplication or know to do that jboos deploy this aplication but fixing a directory that was not random? After a further look, I found that ProcessDefinition has the getStartState() method, and comparing each node against that I can identify the StartState node. But I still think it's untidy that the Start State node is NOT instanceof StartState... [EJB 3.0] - Re: remove method functionality in CMP Bean

Hi, My scenario is to delete a record from the table. I am using client and calling session facade, from session facade calling CMP Home Interface remove method by passing "primary key" value. Bean ejbRemove method is also having the same "primary key" parameter. In the method body, do I need to call set method of that primary key? do I need to write any query for this method in the ejb-jar.xml Please help me out. Thank you, Mallikarjun. Under Linux you cannot use port 80 as a user. That is why the default port is 8080. Either run the server at root level or change the port to or add a second connector with 8080.
