Thanks for the reply Clebert. I am looking forward to your fix for this because we cannot go ahead with the shared database approach since the client which consumes the messages immediately puts the received messages in to the database and if we use a shared database, JBoss going to store those messages in the database and then our client when it receives it is again going to store it in the database. I am wondering if shared database can be the only approach; is it a very bad idea to use a centralized cache or something [forgive me if my idea is very bad :) ] I really appreciate Tim, Clebert and Andy for replying to the posts quickly and keeping the forum alive. The problem is the ID generation on Clustering. We store the next sequence on a Table, and that's used to synchronize the counting between the nodes. We will have to guarantee the IDs are unique on NullPersistence, and we can't do that now. At the moment we can't support NullPersistence in clustered because of that. We will keep that JIRA opened and that will be implemented on a later release. At the moment you could use a shared DB to store your data. All new work is being carried out on JBM 2 which has a super fast journal, we'll also support JDBC but we don't recommend it for high performance. For in memory only, you can also configure a null persistence manager so we don't really see any need to look at any in memory databases such as times ten. I believe you meant to say, you were trying to make the JBoss Application Server to connect to Sonic MQ. You should look at JCA and JBossAS server documentation, and ask for help JCA's user forum. JBoss Messaging itself can't connect to Sonic MQ. This can be done by adding hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto property for persistence-unit in persistence.xml file. It enable utomatic validation or export schema DDL to the database when the SessionFactory is created. With create-drop, the database schema will be dropped when the SessionFactory is closed explicitly. [Messaging, JMS & JBossMQ] - Looking for help with: Error getting JMSServer member info

Hello. I am pretty new to JBoss and I have a problem which looks to be JMS related. I have this working enterprise application running using BEA Workshop for WebLogic Platform 10.0, which I am trying to migrate piece by piece to JBoss. Currently I am trying to set up a JMS queue. On the JBoss side I am using/testing one of the provided connection factories (the one specifically called ConnectionFactory) and a queue I have defined in my own -service.xml file that looks like: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> | <server> | <mbean code="org.jboss.mq.server.jmx.Queue" | name="jboss.mq.destination:service=Queue,name=SolrUpdateUs"> | <depends optional-attribute-name="DestinationManager">jboss.mq:service=DestinationManager</depends> | </mbean> | </server> One the Weblogic side I have set up foreign JNDI provider talking to jnp://localhost:1099 (as specified by JBoss docs) and using org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory as the initial context factory. I also have the username and password blank (partially as I do not know where I would set those in JBoss). In the application we use a MDB to grab from the queue and do "something." Though, I only get this far if I tell the SolrIndexMDB to grab from the previously used Weblogic JMS distributed queue (hope that makes sense). I've spent about a day and a half looking over this problem, and would appreciate any help anyone could offer as I am not really sure where the problem lies. I am not sure if it is a JBoss config problem or a Weblogic config problem, though I am leaning towards incomplete JBoss config on my part as all that has changed is where the queue is running. [Tomcat, HTTPD, Servlets & JSP] - Tomcat upgrade in JBoss 4.0.4 GA

I need to upgrade Tomcat from 5.5.x (I believe it is < 18) to 5.5.21 at least for a security vulnerability. I am running JBoss AS 4.0.4 GA at the moment. Can this Tomcat upgrade be done without upgrading all of JBoss? Any suggestions on the best practice for doing this?
