I'm encountering this same problem. Has a fix been made or a different version of jboss-ws available to correct this problem? Or is martinschweigert's solution the only working solution? What is a little puzzling is what exactly was being done wrong with the su - l, because as the strace indicated, it was partially working. Why does su -l partially work and sudo -u works completely? [JBoss Cache: Core Edition] - multiple independent caches (TreeCache)

Working with multiple caches under AS 4.2.2. I believe I'm doing it right, but wanted to confirm, since I'm having a hard time finding the definitive word on how to do this. To get the independent caches I'm setting the cluster names differently and assigning different UDP mcast_addr and mcast_port to each cache. Is that it? Is there a a better/different way? As far as I can tell, this is working properly, but I just want to verify I'm not missing something important. Your post started with a war file and you wanting to determine where the pages displayed by the app were located. Then you threw in the term "portal". Now you throw in Novell Composer and Director. At this point I don't even know what you have (how many other things have you not told us about?) Are you creating the web pages under Composer/Director? If so, then ask Novell what happens to them - it definitely is not a JBoss issue. There are several softwares involved.JBOSS , Novell Composer and Novell Director. How do i know whether it is JBOSS portal or normal jboss server. If these files are in database then how do i check them in DB.? Can you give some clues on this... I think CMS is also there...
