I see you completely dropped WCLD. Perhaps you could still leave it, and just mention that its sole purpose is to create web/war compatible CLMD. Note: TomcatDeployer is not the last depolyer in this chain. ;-) Check AbstractWarDeployer::deployWebModule, where we create ServiceMetaData, hence making war deployment nothing more than MBean. lots... if the taskInstance is blocking, the pi.signal one will not make the process advance. If it is non-blocking, the process advances but leaves the task open. The ti.end will end the task instance in a node and signal the process to advance IF the task was 'signalling' and there are no more non-blocking tasks. you get the processInstance back, retrieve the id from it and use a command to signal it... not the objects... they are always 'detached' since they are webservices... I am having the same issue with Jboss 4.2.2 GA. I am using POJO Cache 1.4.1 SP3. It works out of the AS. 4.2.2 has jboss-aop-jdk50.deployer which has another version of jboss-aop-jdk50.jar. My POJO's are annotted and I tried to pre-compile them using this version of jar but it did not help. below is the stack trace. The seam manual has descriptions on how the configuration differ for the various servers. btw. deployment is a small part here. It is about having the right classpath/dependencies setup for the build - that unfortunately varies dependent on what the server runtimes provides/don't provide out-of-box.
