is your mail node called? Turn on jbpm debug to see what happens, come on... al ittle more proactive.... we are not here to help you step by step, you have to provide us with lots more information... My answer now could be: "Are you sure your computer is on? Because if it isn't the mailnode will not do anything and also not log errors" And that answer would be valid question. [Beginners Corner] - Pulling resource files from localhost rather than JBoss inst

Hello, I am getting this exception Caused by: javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: Had IO Exception with stylesheet file: http://localhost/inc/address.xsl at org.apache.xalan.processor.TransformerFactoryImpl.newTemplates(TransformerFactoryImpl.java:928) ... 29 more Caused by: javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: Had IO Exception with stylesheet file: http://localhost/inc/address.xsl at org.apache.xalan.processor.StylesheetHandler.error(StylesheetHandler.java:919) at org.apache.xalan.processor.StylesheetHandler.error(StylesheetHandler.java:947) My JBoss installation is not localhost. So no wonder the file could not be found. Also, the .jsp files are being loaded without any problem from the correct URL. Can anybody point me to a possible solution of this problem? I am very new to this, and I inherited a system that I have to upgrade and support. Any help would be highly appreciated. [Performance Tuning] - Recommended Memory Usage

We are in the process of upgrading from 4.0.4 to eap 4.3. I was reading the datasheet for eap 4.3, and it suggests 512mb ram as a minimum system requirement. I was wondering if this refers to half a gig of overall actual memory on the physical server or the amount of process space available to the app server. Also, on the wiki, I have come across this formula to calculate process space: TotalProcessSpace = .5GB(java overhead) + Heap + (Threads*ThreadStackSize) http://www.jboss.org/community/docs/DOC-11564 Is it suggesting that the overhead for jvm operations may take up half a gig of ram outside of the heap and stack memory allocated? Thanks for the quick and clear reply. That makes sense. I applied the fix to both startup.bat and run.bat and that indeed solves the problem. The service can be cleanly started and stopped from the control panel or via "net" command line. [JBoss Messaging] - clientLeasePeriod for JMS clients (bisocket)

We recently upgraded from JBoss 4.05 to 4.3, and moved to the new JBoss messaging stack. In the simplest case, we have a bunch of clients subscribed to a JMS topic listening for messages from an un-clustered server. We noticed while debugging the client that it would suddenly cease to receive JMS events from the server, and we have also seen this problem with VMs and OS X clients. It seems that the cause of at least the debugging problem (and possibly since the symptoms match the others - though it is unclear thus far what would be delaying the pings significantly) that the default 10s lease period is the problem. My question therefore when deciding how much to up this by, is how critical is the protection provided by this short lease time. 1) Obviously a dead client is wasting some server side book-keeping, however it would seem that a subsequent attempt to write a message to the topic, gets a socket write error if the client is dead, dumps a stack trace on the server console, and that particular subscriber is not hit again 2) I have seen other threads which suggest that the publisher can get blocked when writing to some more insidiously dead clients, and perhaps the lease is a protection against that. Note, w.r.t. 1) after the subscriber is removed, I still see a later WARN message about the lease timing out, so it seems like the two forms of clean up are different. Anyway, again, the first question is "is upping the lease to a few minutes a reasonable thing to do?" Secondly, we wouldn't really care so much if we lost the lease if there was a clean way to detect it from the client and re-subscribe - is there any form of callback we can attach to when the client notices that its connection has died? Thirdly, if there isn't such a way, we also have ways to detect this, but would be curious to know whether we're going to end up leaking stuff on the client because the existing subscriber mechanism on the client is just stuck there.
