I tried now to use the classpath element but then I think it uses the wrong jaxws implementation as it doesn't work now :( can I lookup somewhere which classes are used when I call a methode ? The client is a plain java class. It has to lookup the remote EJB. The exception is thrown at the time of lookup. Hi PeterJ , Thanks for the helpful reply. however, do you mean , both howtos links you gave wont work even for 64-bit JDK/JRE ? currently I'm on 32bit , but few months from now I want to seriously migrate to 64-bit-x86-64 machine with 64-bit Linux OS. the strange thing is that the class outside of the lib folder is not found but those in the lib folder are found. are there any documents about that (mbean classpath things that you mentioned) or other things I could do ? I already tried to pack all of my classed also into a jar file and store it in the lib folder but they are also not found then.
