Hi, I cannot help you much further, I didn't play with Valves up to now ;-). I just noticed that a JBoss specific valve seems to require the credentials, so I concluded that you cannot remove them before this valve is processed. I don't have any experience with Valves, so it is up to you to dig into this ;-). But maybe it would help to get a better answer than mine, if you could post your logout code snippet and the location. And please tell us why the standard JBoss logout ("session.invalidate()") does not work for you. Best do this in the your security forum thread. [JBoss Messaging] - Persistenceprovider hotplug

Hi, I try to test the reconnection after persistence provider modifications. I send one message to the queue and MDB consumes it. I change the jms-ds.xml to a wrong Oracle schema. I send one message to the queue, a failure appears. I reset the jms-ds.xml to a working version. I send one message to the queue, message is posted but MDB does not consume it. The MDB must be restarted to consume messages posted to the queue (seen using jmx-console). I use JBoss 4.2.3.GA and JBM 1.4.2.GA. Thanks for your help. Hi, I'm no JAAS specialist, so I cannot give you in-depth answers, but I will try... "LoginContext" is on the client side. Don't mix this with the server side of the configuration. The "LoginContext" of "auth.conf" declares the module used on the client side to perform the JAAS login. It has nothing in common with the login modules used on the server side. Hi, as far as I know, your application policy/security domain should be declared in "login-config.xml" found in your JBoss configuration. I never heard of being able to declare it in a " jboss-beans.xml", but maybe this is a new feature ;-). If you activate security layer logging, do you see status or error messages of the configured login module/security domain? If no, then it is not configured. Hi all, As my original question, I want to deploy the new version of web application nicely so that the end user would not suddenly get the error during their work on the web application. Does JBoss AS 5.0 have graceful stop and startup feature that is the same as Apache do. If grace restart apache, it will wait all the existing session finish the request and don't accept the new request; then restart apache at all. [JBoss Tools (users)] - ServiceLocatorException

Hi everyone, Apologies if i have posted in the wrong forum. I am trying to integrate JTA into my hibernate application. I'm using the book Jboss at work a practical guide as an example. I am having a problem with ServiceLocator.java, haven't been able to find the right jar to import for ServiceLocatorException. Where can i find it? Also are there any basic tutorials on this? Will the JTA examples work within eclipse using jboss tools (since it also includes hibernate tools)? I have changed the configuration settings in hibernate.cfg.xml to include the references to JTATransactionFactory etc. I was hoping ServiceLocator.java would show me if there is a problem.
