Hi Ramu, I suggest the following solution: Split up your m:n relation into one additional entity and two 1:n relations. Your additional entity could be named SkillLevel or something like that. It's properties: int SkillLevel It has the following relations: ManyToOne to Vendor ManyToOne to Skill The primary key must be a compound key -> skill, vendor. Use an @Embeddable key class with @EmbeddedId that references these entities with their primary key. Should look something like this: Please annotate the getters in your code... | @Entity | public class Vendor implements Serializable | { | @Id | int id; | @OneToMany(mappedBy="vendor") | List<SkillLevel> skills; | //... | } | | @Entity | public class Skill implements Serializable | { | @Id | int id; | @OneToMany(mappedBy="skill") | List<SkillLevel> skills; | //... | } | | @Entity | public class SkillLevel implements Serializable | { | @EmbeddedId | SkillLevelKey key; | int level; | | @ManyToOne | Skill skill; | | @ManyToOne | Vendor vendor; | | @Embeddable | public static final class SkillLevelKey implements Serializable | { | int skill; | int vendor; | // must define equals() and hashCode() | } | } | Hope that helps! Thanks for your quick response. We're running JBoss 4.2.3.GA on a Solaris box but I'll be building JSF Web apps on my Win XP Pro box via JDeveloper 10.1.3.4. I'm looking for a way to get the RichFaces components installed in JDeveloper and showing up in the components panel. Also, I'd like to find how-to article to start with RichFaces development and Oracle data reading/writing in JSF/Java. Thank you. [EJB 3.0] - Column Order In Auto-Generated Tables And Compound Primary K

Hi folks! FYI, I am using EJB3 with JBoss AS 5.0.1 and MySQL 5.1 as database. I use schema auto generation for my entities. I just discovered that all fields are sorted alphabetically. I would not mind this, but it is also true for my compound primary keys. And that is not what i want. I want to have the fields I search regularly at the beginning of the key, so that MySQL can use the key. Is there a way to take influence on the column order? I would like my fields to appear in the same order as defined in the entity. I already tried using @Embeddable and @EmbeddedId with and without @AttributeOverrides. I do not really want to name my columns a_..., b_... just to get a correct column order. Please advice! [JBossWS] - Custom RequestHandlerFactoryImpl

I would like to inject a custom RequestHandlerFactoryImpl to be used in the JBossWS native stack. It seems like the best place to do this is through the *-beans.xml file. However, I am not quite sure how to configure this file to inject my implementation of RequestHandlerFactoryImpl. Does anyone have any ideas on what needs to be replaced in this file?
