[JBoss Messaging] - How to Intercep a client close on the server side

JBM 1.4.0 sp3 CP04 If I want a notification on the server side that a connection has been closed(either called close on the connection or closed due to network error), how do you get a server notification. I've tried to use the aspects, but the connection advised doesn't get called when the connection is shut down due to error. My last option is to do runtime weaving and use an aroundinvoke around handleConnectionException in the SimpleConnectionManager Since the flow calls close and closing on the and does not call the connectionAdvised, it seems like this is a bug. Shouldn't the connectionAdvised get called in the event of a client failure. I would think that on the server side methods for closing and close should be called for the connectionAdvised. It seems like a bug, but I can also see it the other way... The code fix for the bug would be to wrap the endpoint in the connectionAdvised and call that in the SimpleConnection in cleanupForSessionID instead of calling the endpoint directly. Thank you for the quick reply. Two followup questions (one from the original post): - "if all of the data in a node ages out of the cache due to LRU, is the data removed from the cache and the node left in place, or is the node also removed"? - "but you do introduce the possibility of phantom reads (but this is allowed in R_R semantics anyway)." We're using READ_COMMITTED. That should prevent phantom reads, shouldn't it? It's not a like/dislike issue, the problem is you said right out off the bat that replacing DefaultDS wasn't sufficient. I'm saying, therefore, it has to be part of the documentation, which it isn't. Now you're saying this is a wrinkle in the beta release. Assuming that's true, we're good to go. We'll leave HSQL as-is, then address the production quality of HSQL downstream. I do not see any jbpm related error here... you might have more luck in the JBoss AS forum I think. Not that it is of no interest to jBPM since it might be caused by the ejb timers. And yes, it might be related to the config. [JBoss Portal] - JBOSS Portal 2.6.4 CMS Question with FileSystem Config

Hi, We have a PORTAL version 2.6.4 configured to use CMS with File system. Question 1. While inserting PDF files in CMS via Portlet happy path every thing works fine but incase we have any error the transaction is rolled back but the reports inserted into CMS are not rolloed back. SO next time we insert the reports its creting versions. How to fix this issue? Any ideas? [JBoss Tools (users)] - 'couldn't connect to database' in seam generate entities wit

I've started playing with jboss tools 3 in eclipse 3.4.2 and tried to setup some simple seam projects to get familiar with the process. I was able to generate some simple CRUD against a mysql server by following the instructions at http://docs.jboss.org/tools/3.0.0.GA/en/seam/html/crud_database_applicati..., but I haven't been able to get the same example to work for a sql server 2000 database. When I use 'seam generate entities', it give the error 'couldn't connect to database' when refreshing to select a schema. The Data Source Explorer is able to navigate the the connection correctly, so I'm at a loss for what's causing the problem. I've tried changing the jdbc drivers and connection parameters without luck. Is this a problem anyone has run into before, or is there somewhere in eclipse I can look to get more information out of the 'couldn't connection to database' message? Thanks for your help!
