That's the reason why starting JBossAS-4.2.x version, various services of JBoss by default bind to localhost. I understand. Yesterday I took some time to read about. Here they explained how to set a new value to this "maxInstances" attribute: http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/tomcat-users/200803.mbox/%3CBLU1... Do you know if there is some monitor, tool, jboss web-console, etc... where I can check the real time "maxInstances" value?! Otherwise how can I know that I need to increase this "maxInstances" value? But as you correctly said..."how did it end up creating 854 instances"... I have no idea. [JBossWS] - Re: Using Threads inside Web Services

I can't seem to find an answer to the above question in the JBossWS documentation. Without the Servlet interface's init and destroy methods how would we clean up threads on undeployment? I have seen references to @PostConstruct and @PreDestroy however these seem to be called upon every construction of the endpoint interface's implementation. This seems to be constructed whenever a SOAP request is received, and does not seem to be linked to the lifecycle of the underlying servlet. Any help would be appreciated, thankyou. I know that it is fault of the admins, but there are techniques how to prevent it. Maybe collegues from RedHat security can advise. Hi all, I want to test my application with the Eclipse TestNG Plugin in my EJB-Project. Therefore I created two persistence.xml: One for the EJBs and a seperated for my tests The structure of the project: MyEJBProject -src -----main ---------resources --------->META-INF --------->persistence.xml (for the normal EJBs) -----test --------->java/mypackage ------------------------------>MyTest.java -----resources --------->META-INF --------------------->persistence.xml (for the tests) --------->myejbproject-ds.xml -bootstrap -testng.xml A simple test(without database access) works fine. Hi, I consider example 2 the better approach. Relationships are quite complicated to manage, so it is better to keep this logic in the session bean layer and hide it from the client. This way, you can change e.g. CascadeTypes of the relation without having to change client code. But this are just my personal opinion, don't consider it a design pattern ;-).
