You're right. That got rid of my error. The descriptor and my application both deploy now without error. However, I'm still not getting any messages delivered to my MDB. I can verify that they are being posted to the remote server's topic as an MDB local to it receives and logs the messages. [JBoss Portal] - When to use Alias coordination feature of 2.7.x ...

Hi, I'm not sure when to use alias feature for coordination vis-a-vis explicit parameter bindings. To me both of them serve the same purpose. Any exaplanation on this would be helpful. Also, with alias binding what would be the effect of setting implicit-mode as true ? [JBossWS] - Disabling Transfer-Encoding: chunked in a client

All, I'm writing a client that goes via a dodgy web proxy that can't proxy Transfer-Encoding: chunked data. I thought from perusing the web that in JBossWS-Native and/or JBossWS-Metro you could disable this behaviour by editing: /opt/jboss-5.1.0.GA/server/default/deployers/jbossws.deployer/META-INF/standard-jaxws-client-config.xml and setting http://org.jboss.ws/http#chunksize to 0 in Standard Client. Is that not right? Any help from anyone who's done this before would be greatly appreciated. This error: java.lang.IllegalStateException: jboss.messaging:name=JMSProvider,service=JMSProviderLoader is already installed. means that there is already an mbean by that name - which there is - the first entry in the jms-ds.xml file. To get rid of the error, use a different mbean name. There is nothing magical about the name - you could call it something like "cpslo:provider=remote" and it should work just fine. I don't know if above advice will get the remote access working, but it should eliminate the error message. This error occurs because we are trying to look up a Local interface of an stateless EJB with spring, by definition when you specify <jndi-name> on jboss.xml or ejb-jar.xml this JNDI is assigned to the remote interface. So you need to specify the local-jndi-name as follows: <enterprise-beans> <ejb-name>GranInvokerEJB</ejb-name> <jndi-name>GranInvokerEJB</jndi-name> <local-jndi-name>GranInvokerEJBLocal</local-jndi-name> </enterprise-beans> Once you do this error should be solved. [JCA/JBoss] - Configuring Local and Remote JMS

It seems like this should be pretty easy, and it probably is, but... I'm trying to configure a JBoss 5.0.1.GA instance to use both it own local JBM instance as well as connect to a remote JBoss 5.0.1.GA instance (also using JBM). Ultimately I want to be able to use EJB3 MDBs on local and remote queues and topics I've tried using the configurations I've found on the Wiki, and net which all basically look like this: | <mbean code="org.jboss.jms.jndi.JMSProviderLoader" | name="jboss.messaging:service=JMSProviderLoader,name=JMSProvider"> | <attribute name="ProviderName">DFMJMSProvider</attribute> | <attribute name="ProviderAdapterClass">org.jboss.jms.jndi.JNDIProviderAdapter</attribute> | |  | <attribute name="FactoryRef">java:/XAConnectionFactory</attribute> |  | <attribute name="QueueFactoryRef">java:/XAConnectionFactory</attribute> |  | <attribute name="TopicFactoryRef">java:/XAConnectionFactory</attribute> | |  | <attribute name="Properties"> | java.naming.factory.initial=org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory | java.naming.factory.url.pkgs=org.jnp.interfaces | java.naming.provider.url=localhost:1199 | </attribute> | </mbean> by appending the above to my otherwise unchanged deploy\messaging\jms-ds.xml file. When just starting JBoss, with no application deployed, everything seems happy. At least there are no warning or error messages logged. Personally, (I like netbeans to) I'd hope that there will *not* be two efforts (not even a community one) just for the sake of having almost the same functionality in netbeans as there is in eclipse (jpdl wise). Just like I said, we could develop applications for Tibco Process Engine with their editor while doing the java stuff in I think it was even jBuilder.
