[Persistence, JBoss/CMP, Hibernate, Database] - JTA Datasource with RESOURCE_LOCAL

I dont understand the RESOURCE_LOCAL relation with the jta/non-jta datasource. If i use RESOURCE_LOCAL, i have to use the non-jta-datasource? And if i use JTA i have to use jta-datasource? If things are that way my question is: Should be only the tag? Another strange thing is that i see applications using JTA datasources with RESOURCE_LOCAL transaction type, i'm noob in this transactional-JEE world but those things sounds tottaly different to use them togheter for me. Am i right? Is there any good reading about it that you guys recommend? I'm also more and more favoring the hypothesis that this has to do with a circularity problem: Jboss5 seems to be less lenient about it as illustrated by another failure i had, which was caused by a bugged EJB injecting a reference to itself. It started in JBoss4 but not 5. Still, for some MBeans i need to be sure they start AFTER EJBs are deployed. Thus I think the cleanest solution would be to correctly specify this dependency of means towards the EJBs, apparently <depends>jboss.j2ee:ear=Navineo.ear,jar=ModuleSA.jar,service=EJB3</depends>isn't the correct way to do it. Can you supply a full DN for a "departmentcode"? Given that I might be able to provide the login module settings. Also, do you have an ldapsearch utility? You will need one to ascertain that we use the correct configuration settings. Without ldapserach, configuring an LDAP login module is like wandering around in the dark. [JCA/JBoss] - JCA socket server

I'd like to implement a socket listener and not sure if it's best to use a socket gateway or jca. If JCA I believe I need to implement InflowGateway, but is there a socket resource adapter available? Which method in this new class is triggered when a client connects and sends me a message? This is to implement a HL7 TCPIP server.
