Adrian- I am trying to get my head around what you're asking here. if you're referring to command buffering: http://labs.jboss.com/file-access/default/members/jbossmessaging/freezone... Then JBM will block by default on send if it hasn't received any acks back from the server. As mentioned in the docs you can turn this off by setting the ProducerWindowSize param to -1, but do so at your peril! Flow control is there to stop the server getting overwhelmed. BTW JBM won't create any threads here - there will only be as many threads blocking as the number of threads from your application that have called send(), so I'm not sure how that could bring your application down. You could also set an ExceptionListener which would be called when a problem with the connection is detected. Setting a priority for a category limits which log messages are forwarded to the appenders. Thus, for both com.mycompany.package1 and com.mycompany.package2 only ERROR messages get logged. The root definition identifies the appenders to use for all log messages, thus all messages are sent to SMTP, CONSOLE and FILE. In addition, log messages for com.mycompany.package1 are sent a second time to CONSOLE - the messages were sent the first time to CONSOLE because all categories inherit from root. This point confused me the first time I ran into it also. [Advanced Documentation] - Extending the JBoss AS

Hey, I'm currently developing a Java container capable of running hierarchical state machines. For info on the project visit http://sourceforge.net/projects/redroo. My question is now, how can I find out what needs to be done to integrate that container with the JBoss AS. I've looked around for quite some time, but couldn't find anything helping me with that issue. To see what kind of documentation I'm after, please have a look at http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-6583. That page offers the same, but for Sun's Glassfish application server, into which I want to integrate the RedRoo Container as well. Thanks for helping. Currently JBm can't be configured to do this, typically you would have at least 1 backup server to failover too. Feel free to add a JIRA for this functionality if you think its worth while.
