You are mentioning a state machine implementation in MC, did you used a framework for state machine implementation (like Apache SCXML) for one part of our project we need a state machine implementation, so I am looking for a reliable framework... I have copied (mysql-connector-java-5.1.7-bin.jar). to $JBOSS_HOME/server/default/lib already so this is done. So know i need to copy the $JBOSS_HOME/docs/examples/jca/mysql-ds.xml file to $JBOSS_HOME/server/default/deploy . Then when this is done i only need to edit the mysql-ds.xml file. Replace <jndi-name>MySqlDS</jndi-name> with your datasource name, Replace <connection-url>jdbc:mysql://mysql-hostname:3306/jbossdb</connection-url> with my connection string, and then last username and pasword. Then all this should be finished i hope? Please let me know if this is all i need to do or if there are more things i need to change? Thank you very much for your quick replay with this matter. Hi, Did you install JOSSO gateway and agent? If location http://localhost:8080/josso/signon/login.do is not available, then it seems that you forgot to install josso gateway to your server. By the way, which version of reference guide are you reading? Reference guide for JBoss Portal 2.7.1 from standard documentation page http://jboss.org/jbossportal/docs/index.html is related to older version of josso. Configuration with josso 1.8.0 is little different. You can take a look to the SSO frameworks integration guide with JBoss Portal, which is at http://docs.jboss.org/jbportal/sso/ . In chapter 2 is detailed tutorial for integration of JBoss Portal 2.7.2 with josso 1.8. Hope this helps. Thanks for your replies. I removed geronimo-spec-servlet-2.4-rc4.jar and now module deploys. I did not find out how can i download patch or review commits for closed bug at https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBAS-6478 so i leave this packaging arrangement. Thx for the quick reply... Unfortunately, most of my experience with the configuration of ClassLoaders with * jboss-app.xml for .ear * jboss-web.xml for .war * jboss.xml for the rest was catastrophic.....That is one of the reason why OSGi is so attractive to me.... In one of my old projects, we were working with JBoss Portal and we had tried to isolate the classloaders with the mentioned files, that totally killed the portal framework, then after I am always keeping an eye open for the alternatives.... Another reason, why OSGi is so attractive, we are using Maven and the ideas from OSGi fitting really good with developing with Maven (to be able to define during development time exactly what libraries you are going to use and this information transferred to runtime....) My actual project is an B2B project with Web Services, we are the gateway for several other services and these services releases periods are most of the time are not conform with ours... When they make version changes, that is causing lots of headaches for us, the feature of OSGi is a perfect solution for us, lets say deploy a bundle, inactivate it and when the time is right activate it.... I was just looking to see is this scenario possible with JBoss, I would look closely to JBoss OSGi implementation and this discussion about MicroContainer and OSGi had confused me little bit...but thx for the answer...
