I have put the a war file in the server deploy directory and started the application. The server is displaying the error ERROR: invalid console appender config detected, console stream is looping and not moving forward. I have my own log4j.xml file for my application. I don't know if this is relevant, but I just noticed I had a unit test that was creating an InvokerLocator with port == -1. It turns out that I was creating | socket://10.32.10.88:40404&serializationtype=java | instead of | socket://10.32.10.88:40404/?serializationtype=java | Later on, the parsing code in the InvokerLocator class turned the port into -1. [Installation, Configuration & Deployment] - Deployment "InstanceAlreadyExistsException" for Hibernate MB

I have a Java App that uses Hibernate that I'm trying to deploy on JBOSS 5.1.0. I get the following "InstanceAlreadyExistsException" when trying to deploy it. I've removed the JBOSS "tmp" and "work" directories and restarted JBOSS as suggested in another post online as well as tried renaming the MBean just in case there really was a conflict but I'm still getting the same error. Following is exception stack trace as well as the contents of the "jboss-app.xml" and "hibernate-service.xml" files. Any ideas out there guys ? Now I have trouble with persistence.xml . In my application : FMK-EAR --> fmk.war ( seam 2.2 ) PLATFORM CONSOLE --> fmk-seam.jar (ejb) ( My seam's basic actions ) --> fmk-serviceEjb.jar (ejb) ( My plattaform services ) --> fmk-entities.jar (ejb/persistence) ( My basic plattaform entities / persitence unit) Case 1 : If I put the file persistence.xml in the FMK-EAR/META-INF , I have the error : ClassNotFound http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=161236 Case 2 : If I put the file persistence.xml in the fmk-entities.jar , I have the error in fmk-serviceEjb.jar with @EntityPersister(name="ejb3FMK") , error : PersistenceUnit ejbFMK not found . [Security] - password protect URL/servlet

All, I'm not the most JBoss savy user but need some assistance. We are currently running JBoss 5.0.1, moving to 5.1.0 for our application server. We have a url/servlet that we would like password protected. We don't have a database and are not using EJBs. We are also on a closed network so a third party system that requires a server on the Internet will also not work. What can I do to accomplish this task? Thanks.
