well, jBPM3 had a nice idea, IMO :-)
especially if the transient data has to be used at several parts of the process, so that it is overall better than mine.
here is what I did, I pass the data when signalling the Custom that uses them with method

I executed it in debug ; at breakpoint A I found "publicInfo" in table JBPM4_VARIABLE, but not "putinPhoneNumber"
at breakpoint B I do not find anything in JBPM4_VARIABLE. By the way, I would have expected "publicInfo" in JBPM4_HIST_VAR, but it is not. Maybe I have not understood the purpose of this latter table : it is not supposed to record the variables of past executions?

[JBoss Remoting Users] - port problem on windows embedded pos

Hello!
I am currently working on a java ee project and we use Jboss as the application server.
The server should run on windows xp, linux and also on windows embedded for point of sale (i know it is a funny choice).
Jboss version: 5.1 GA
On my windows XP it works fine.
On we pos (same config) I have a problem with clients for jbm and datasource. I think it is a port problem. I deactivated the firewall, i also checked in windows registry for blocked ports, no problem there.

When trying to run the client we get the following error:

So it seems the clientBindUrl in the bean is not overriden by our jboss.xml file... anyone have any idea how we should approach this now? It is frutstrating that there is no functional documentation or working examples to actually get SSL working in server and a REMOTELY connecting client...
