Hi,
I am an new user of jboss cache pojo edition, and I have a question about searching element in cache. First, I would like to thank the development for working on this good product.
I am currently working on an application, which have highly volatile data (i.e they tend to change every seconds). For the moment, I am using standard persistence for achieving this goal and I want to optimize so someone told me about jboss cache.
I am very happy about writing performance compared to standard persistence but I have a question about reading stuff. In fact, sometimes I need to get a lot of lines (approximately 100) so with standard persistence it is like "SELECT * FROM table where text=?", but with jboss cache I have to get all elements with their fqn, so using jdbc become faster than jboss cache...
I have read about searchable edition, but it seems that it does not work with pojo edition. Do you have any workaround, to achieving my goal, and get jboss cache faster in this case?
Thank you,
Regards.
PS : Sorry for my english...

h2. Known problems in XULRunner 1.9.2
h3. org.mozilla.interfaces.inIFlasher
inIFlasher does not work on MacOS. It is needed to show a border around selected elements in VPE.
*Workaround:* To show a border on MacOS the following style is used: "border: 2px solid COLOR_NAME !important". But the workaround has a drawback: if the selected elements has its own border, it is not visible.
h3. draggesture event
XULRunner does not fire 'draggesture' event on Linux.
*Workaround:* Special button for Drag&Drop actions is used. Instead of listening to the 'draggesture' events, VPE listens to the 'mousedown' event on this button.
h3. org.mozilla.interfaces.nsIDragService.invokeDragSession(...)
The method invokeDragSession works differently on Windows and Linux. On Windows it exits *after* the session is ended. On Linux it exits *immediately*. The following snippet illustrates this:
document.addEventListener("dragstart", new nsIDOMEventListener() {
nsISupports queryInterface(String uuid) {
return null;
}
void handleEvent(nsIDOMEvent event) {
nsIDragService dragService = (nsIDragService)
Mozilla.getInstance().getServiceManager()
.getServiceByContractID("@mozilla.org/widget/dragservice;1",
nsIDragService.NS_IDRAGSERVICE_IID);
System.out.println("BEFORE invokeDragSession");
dragService.invokeDragSession(node, transferables, null,
nsIDragService.DRAGDROP_ACTION_MOVE
| nsIDragService.DRAGDROP_ACTION_COPY
| nsIDragService.DRAGDROP_ACTION_LINK);
System.out.println("AFTER invokeDragSession");
}
}, false);
document.addEventListener("dragend", new nsIDOMEventListener() {
nsISupports queryInterface(String uuid) {
return null;
}
void handleEvent(nsIDOMEvent event) {
System.out.println("dragend");
}
}, false);
document.addEventListener("dragover", new nsIDOMEventListener() {
nsISupports queryInterface(String uuid) {
return null;
}
void handleEvent(nsIDOMEvent event) {
System.out.println("dragover");
}
}, false);
* Windows output:*
> BEFORE invokeDragSession
> dragover
> dragover
> ...
> dragover
> dragend
> AFTER invokeDragSession
* Linux output:*
> BEFORE invokeDragSession
> AFTER invokeDragSession
> dragover
> dragover
> ...
> dragover
> dragend

Thank you for your replies!
Dissapear means the perspectives are still available under window-open pespective-other but there are no icons and the view is a standard view, wich means, e.g. the palette in web development perspective is not there.
There are several error messages in error log view:

[jBPM] - hibernate mapping modification

"hibernate mapping modification"

Hello,
I am running a Seam 2.1 with jboss 4.2 and jbpm 3.2.2.
I altered the hibernate mapping of the class Toto. I included one new attribute called userDev, with the following getter:
@ManyToOne(fetch = FetchType.LAZY)
@JoinColumn(name = "id_user_developer", nullable = true, insertable = false, updatable = false)
public User getUserDev() {
return userDev;
}
The data base structure was not modified, and when a Toto object is persisted, the column id_user_developer is not altered in the data base.
The server starts ok, and I can normally create, edit and delete new Toto instances, as well as perform jbpm tasks on it.
However, if I try to perform a jbpm task on Toto objects that were created before the mapping modification, the jbpm task do not succed.
I think the problem is related to the jbpm tables, that weren't updated according the mapping modification.
Anyone have any idea on how can I solve this issue for the Toto instances created before the mapping modification?
Thanks a lot.
