As a workaround we have set <attribute name="DefaultMaxDeliveryAttempts">1</attribute> and let JBoss Messaging move the messages to the DLQ. Is avoids JMSXDeliveryCount in the message selectors. So I really don't think this project is a well-formed EAR project. I would need to see a copy of your {project}/.settings/org.eclipse.wst.common.component file to verify this though. There is one special thing. I migrated the projects from MyEclipe to Eclipse Enterprise Edition. So I edited some metadata. One change is the structure in the Enterprise Application Project, but the application.xml is there. I thought it could be reasoned by the migration but it is not deployed even if I create a new Enterprise Application Project. There is also a mistake in my description. What I mean with invalid jar, is a jar containing only one jar with the same name which finally contains the actual jar content. E.g. the mvel2.jar contains a mvel2.jar which contains the "META-INF" and an "org" directory.
