I agree if you deploy jbpm and console as stand alone process engine, but what in case when there is application (user webapp) using jbpm and console is only for administration purpose and does not need to be running all the time? In a typical web app it would be set as an attribute of the servlet context, but the servlet context itself is unreachable as well. I was thinking that it could be treated as configuration option (for example using JVM parameters) if ServletContext shall start and destroy process engine. In such case it won't be only Tomcat specific solution but could be used by any other J2EE application server. As for the script activities, I don't see why they need to call ScriptManager directly, they might as well call Expression.create and let that method instantiate the correct expression class according to the language. With a clean eclipse I installed the Patch you said, after I installed the m2eclipse plugin and jboss tools, but the problem persist. Now I still have /lib/lib folders and it duplicate all jars. Any clue? [JBoss Remoting] - Trying to Understand Class Loading

I am trying to follow the org.jboss.remoting.samples.transporter.serialization and incorporate it into a seam project I have deployed as an ear. In other words the server side will be running within the seam application and client side will be a standalone distributed as a jar. I have gotten it working with built in types i.e a String. So change method footprint from: ` public Order processOrder(Order order) ` to ` public String processOrder(String text) ` I can call from the Client side just fine: ` OrderProcessor orderProcessor = (OrderProcessor) TransporterClient.createTransporterClient(locatorURI, OrderProcessor.class); System.out.println("Order to be processed: " + order); String resultString = orderProcessor.processOrder("My Text"); ` and get back a result. However if I try to use a custom object, like Order. I get ClassNotFoundException on the server side. How do I configure JBoss to use the classes deployed in my ear file? What confuses me is I have deployed the server transporter in my ear file as well as Order.class, however Order.class can't be found. I have tried following the instructions here: http://docs.jboss.org/jbossremoting/docs/guide/2.2/html/ch07.html http://docs.jboss.org/jbossremoting/docs/guide/2.2/html/ch07.html but I think that I am misunderstanding the purpose of those instructions. Can anyone clarify this for me? Also, you need to establish a basepoint. By jumping between JBoss and JDK versions you will only succeed in driving yourself crazy. Unfortunately, I cannot help you with JDK6.
