If you do that, the main process will go to a dead wait state, it won't go anywhere unless somebody execute signalExecutionById() on it. It will be potential risk on this scenario. If you really want to achieve a feature like that, I suggest you using CustomActivity to implement your own activityhaviour. Then you could do whatever you want to do. And this solution comes from one of my friends. The lack of jbpm4 event listener architecture is the reason for this. There's no mechanism in jBPM 3 (as far as I know) to be notified that such an execution has ended, and determining the end of the execution is somewhat non-deterministic - it would take into account the time used for scheduling the async command(s) and executing the corresponding code. One mechanism available in Hibernate is to register a hook (an implementation of Synchronization) to the async transaction (something I tried to explain here: http://community.jboss.org/message/399790#399790 http://community.jboss.org/message/399790#399790), but that only works if you are able to set up that hook. An approach we've been using as well is to simply poll for the async execution to be ended (using relative short cycles with sleeps in between). I would agree if you'd say that's just butt-ugly, but we've found it works for us - lacking a better solution. Now it might be necessary to stop the process using execution.end("stopped") when the subprocess is active. If i stop the subprocess first, the next activity after the subprocess-activity will be called. But i want to stop the process right where it is (means while executing the subprocess). Exclude persistence.xml from JBoss 6 scanners...

Hi, my ear file structure is like this: foobar.ear -- lib/foo.jar -- foobar.war inside the foo.jar exists a persistence.xml inside the META-INF. This file I need at runtime, but must be ignored by JBoss during startup. I read about the jboss-ignore.txt, but where to place it in this case? thanks in advance, tf
